Also, don't recall other discussions of attractiveness. Prime Olivia Hussey is maybe my all-time No. 1, with McAdams, prime Kristin Kreuk, Salma Hayek, Phoebe Cates, and Katie Holmes near the top. Those are shocking?

Not that masculine, IMO.

No, not that masculine. Just more masculine relative to Clarke: McAdams has a more prominent jaw, a more square chin, and a larger forehead. That's not necessarily an indication that she's prettier.

I don't know what your taste is like generally, but I recommend the show to most people. I think it's one of the best shows ever made. And while I agree with a lot of the specific criticisms that people have been making, I still look forward to every episode and still enjoy them all.
Season 1-4 is almost a different show, than what came afterwords, and is still totally worth checking out. The latter half of the series won't ruin your enjoyment of the first half. There is still plenty of enjoyment to be had watching those first four seasons, with so many good payoffs to impeccably crafted stories.

People are also getting a bit hysterical with the quality drop off. Yes, the quality drops, and it turns into more of a popcorn fantasy kind of series, but it's still completely watchable. It's nowhere near the quality dip that a show like Dexter went through, that's for damn sure. It essentially goes from GOAT perfection level, to kinda average.
Probably isn't any worse than The Walking Dead and I saw 3 1/2 seasons of that show.

I see what @Trotsky is saying, she has a bit of a strong jaw and is more masculine than the other chick. Not that I mind, in fact I agree with you that she is the more attractive one, and by a decent margin, but that's because I don't mind a woman with a somewhat strong jawline as much as some other guys seem to(no homo I guess). Then again I might be biased in favor of Adams since I have seen more of her work and I respect her as an actress.

Oh' Lord, yes. Even the very worst season of GOT is still light years ahead of that garbage. TWD started out pretty damn good, and then just...wow.

This might be overly semantic, but I would actually say that Clarke is prettier, while McAdams is more attractive.

I don't know most of those people. Hayek has never done it for me.

But I was referring our discussion on Mean Girls in which you proffered that (patently ludicrous, akin to supply side economics) that Amanda Seyfried (sp) is prettier than Lacey Chabert.

These are good takes. My view is that after the first 5 seasons the show had GOAT potential and the drop off the last two seasons (especially this one) probably places it 3rd or 4th. Obviously it's not finished and can end it really strong. And even with the drop off the show is still in GOAT discussion imo. If it ended as strong as 1-4 it wouldn't be close.

For the record I have Breaking Bad and the Wire ahead. I like the show better than the Sopranos but I wouldn't be mad if someone else had GOT 4th.

I agree with JVS on that as well, at the very least Seyfried was prettier in the movie itself if not since then and even Regina George confirmed that.

I have better call Saul above GoT at this point. 2 rough seasons hurt especially when they are the penultimate and final

All indication are the spolier leaks have been correct this year and the final episodes will leave people upset (haven't read them but trust the people who have)

Seyfried is much prettier than Chabert. I prefer her to McAdams as well.

Man, yeah, she's a stunner in that pic and way prettier than Chabert, IMO (and no offense to Chabert).

BTW, Hussey is best known as Juliet in the 1968 Romeo and Juliet.

She had like agoraphobia or something so didn't have much of a career beyond that.

Kreuk was on Smallville.

WOAH! I need to get back on that show. Loved the first two seasons but life shit happens and I fell off. No spoilers please!

Don't get me started on the Sopranos. God, that show was bad.

I'd go:

1. American Crime
2. Breaking Bad
3. The Wire
4. Game of Thrones
5. The Americans
6. Better Call Saul
7. Band of Brothers
8. True Detective
9. Six Feet Under
10. Orange is the New Black

American Crime is seriously criminally underrated, especially for receiving such high critical appraise (97% Rotten Tomatoes iirc)

Have any of you lived abroad, like, in a country known for its beautiful women?

It progressively gets better. Book a weekend to yourself and binge it.

This list shows why I can't give a list. Haven't seen half of it. Also True Detective Season 1 was great, but I only saw a couple of episodes of Season 2 before dropping out.
