That is absolutely not what happened. He offered the bet and you accepted, but the rules of the league required him to also make a second confirmation, which he didn't do (the rules of decency were enough that that wasn't necessary).
And the bet was even made and agreed upon entirely outside the scope of the bet thread.

But he offered and you accepted, which is enough for gentlemen
This is a really dumb argument. I mostly use the War Room for bet negotiations. I love betting, and there is a lot of tribalism around here to exploit. So when someone else and I hammer out a preliminary agreement, outside the War Room Bet Thread, that has nothing to do with being or not being a "gentleman". It's just a preliminary step to getting the final confirmation in the Bet Thread. In the future you also see me use the term "Deal" outside the Bet Thread and pull out before confirmation. Others have done the same to me. There is nothing wrong with that. Nothing is final until it's final. Note also that I had never bet on Sherdog before Lead's thread came into existence, so these are the rules I am familiar with. You have probably been betting here longer and probably have a different frame of reference.

because he never confirmed it it never counted. Now you're changing your tune.

No, it's the same tune. Bets in the War Room don't count until Lead confirms them. Notice how I moved the conversation to the War Room Bet Thread right after Prokviohaio and I reached preliminary agreement? That's because it doesn't count until finalized there. If you used to bet here pre-bet thread maybe you look at things differently, but Lead has created a new system and I have always followed it.

You never take any risks with your constant angle shooting on bets. You're a dishonest coward.
Definitely an angle-shooting coward. Notice how he's griping about not having it both ways with the Polish Headlock bet. Wai is on record (@Limbo Pete ) agreeing that his bet with Polish is an account bet. And because the bet thread rules don't allow for that, they put arbitrary terms in that bet, and both people still agree it was actually an account bet (this also reveals a slimy double standard by Wai, because he has insisted on collecting from Polish for something "outside the bet thread").

Now that the bet is over, Wai is dishonestly complaining that he's being gypped by Polish abandoning the account, and stupidly complaining that he didn't somehow get Polish's account turned over to him (this is especially retarded). Angle-shooting hack for sure.

How many bets between him and me were confirmed? Answer: 0. I pulled out before final confirmation because I saw my proposed position was too risky. That's what smart investors do. Watch and learn. I even made a noble gesture in offering him my signature afterwards despite the fact that I am on the right side of the dispute. He didn't take it.

Maybe this time someone will even agree with you.

...probably not though.

Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners.

I've never been less than 100% honest on this forum, even to my own detriment, you stupid weasel.

Careful don't lose your temper.

Did you think this post through when you called me a weasel?

@Jack V Savage

Maybe do a bit a research before spouting off about things you don't understand...

I assure you, I am very concerned with how a bunch of low-IQ Sherbros look at this issue. Look at my face. Look at how much I care.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I don't think you're focusing on JVS because you're a loser, I just think you have mental problems and a lack of character.

His name is Homer, not Barry. He shouldn't even be around anymore. I wonder what kind of sexual favors he offered the executives at Crave to get his 37th chance to exist.

Yeah, @Lead, I'm curious about this, too. I thought there was some kind of Elo-type system. Is it just based on volume, with no consideration of record or quality of opposition?

It’s based on length, type of bet, and (starting with v3 looking at v2s rankings) quality of opponent. Early on, there wasn’t a good way to assign quality of opponent since everyone was starting from 0-0. I didn’t do head to head for each update because the champ would be less incentivized to make bets. There’s different ways about looking at this but I don’t think you may be seeing the amount of downside Wai exposed himself to with some of these bets. He’s doing a high risk/high reward strategy which you are being more conservative. Those each can work out in different scenarios here.

I also haven’t made any comments about who will be the champ in v3 as I don’t run the numbers until the thread closes.

Also, I think it only adds to the thread to have top players calling out each other’s records and who the undisputed champ truly is. Becomes it’s own meta version of what people do with ranking discussions in the heavies.

That's no way to address the undisputed war room bet thread champion, @Jack V Savage , whose authority you did appeal to.

That's a double digit IQ response from you.

Is that why when you lost you left to focus on how to make winning bets?
Only lost once, in a small-stakes bet against Jack V Savage. Other than that I am 6-0 and the War Room Betting Champion. Read it and weep.

I laughed out loud at him of all people calling somebody else a weasel. Talk about self ownage.

And to think I intervened on your behalf when your account was on the line. That damned bleeding heart of mine.

Other than the first Hughes and Serra fights I'm undefeated

Can you imagine the mockery he'd get for that? Welching joke
