Movies Tourette's Guy At Award Show...

Anybody know why these people's ticks have them saying the most offensive shit? You don't ever hear of somebody having a tick that makes them say names of animals, like "Raccoon!" or "Kitty Cat!". It's always shit like "Fuck you whore!", "Suck my dick!", "Fuck, fuck, cunt, fuck, bitch!", etc.

Is there any explanation for that?
It’s called coprolalia that particular symptom.

From wiki:

Coprolalia is the
involuntary, uncontrollable utterance of obscene, taboo, or socially inappropriate words and phrases, most commonly associated with Tourette Syndrome (TS) (occurring in 10-30% of cases). It is a complex vocal tic, often triggered by neurological, neurodegenerative, or psychiatric conditions, rather than voluntary behavior. Symptoms typically appear in childhood, peak in adolescence, and may improve with age.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was said to have this, evidenced by his composition, "Lick My Asshole Clean."

Wild to me how many people seem to have no idea about Tourettes .. this is like seeing people discover that some people are gay or something lol.
It's a well known and accepted thing in the UK. I guess Americans aren't as well educated on it judging from the reactions?

Apparently they are sometimes compelled to say emotionally laden words, its like a release of a pressure cooker valve, apparently. I don't really buy it (in all cases) but I could be totally ignorant on the matter.

A very popular twitch streamer called Sweet Anita has plenty of tics that aren't swearing. Sometimes she just clicks with her tongue, sometimes she just goes "wooo". There are the "inappropriate" ones as well, but it's not all of em. People like to share the rude ones though as they're either offended or find it funny, so that's probably why you don't hear about it

It’s like, does Jaime Foxx think this guy has spent 40 years documenting his struggles with this embarrassing condition…..only to reveal now it was an elaborate ruse just so he could call a fading star a racial slur on a barely relevant award show?

Fuck, it would be great if that was the case.
Yeah, people who think he's faking it really haven't exactly put much thought into it. I'm sure he really enjoyed being beaten with a crowbar and ending up in hospital just so he could be rude to people in public. Very worth it

Can a doctor give him the proper treatment, physical therapy, and medication so he screams "TITTIES!" instead?

I remember one of my childhood friends pretended he had tourettes for a couple years. He clearly saw someone with some sort of tick and thought " yup, that's what I want to do with my life" and all of a sudden developed this weird pretend tick where he would tweak his neck to the side like a retard. We knew him our whole lives so we would be like " wtf are you doing dude you look retarded" and he would say " it's called tourettes I can't help it"

Once we got to high school and puberty kicked in and we started talking to girls his "tick" was magically healed. Fuckin weirdo

This is on the BBC and BAFTAs. It's not just tourette's hes probably got the worst form called Coprolalia. There's 3 great documentaries that cover him. This condition literally made a lot of his life hell. They should of explained that condition more. Just hope he's got a good group around him. Feel for everyone.

Yeah, I know most tourettes people just have some benign tics, like clicking their tongue or clapping their hands n' shit. It's just such a weird and specific tic to be constantly saying the most offensive shit, that it's amusing. It's such a wacky condition, and it's telling that the entertainment industry only focuses on those types. Notice how they don't invite the less entertaining ones to their shindigs to give out awards, or be honored guests. Almost like they're exploiting them or something...

I'd wager most people think of tourettes as what it's been presented as in Hollywood.

I guess I kinda have some kinda tourettes. When there's some kinda shit like if someone is telling me a sad story like their mom just died or something, my brain FORCES me to think of the most hilarious shit, trying to get me to laugh at the worst possible time.

Also happens when I'm alone in a scary situation like Im walking by myself at night in a secluded area, my brain FORCES me to think of the scariest scenes I've seen in movies.

I remember one time I was doing a speech at a wedding and a guy in the crowd just randomly shouted out "fat guido!" and me and my boys had to beat the shit out of him. He didn't have Tourette's though he was just an asshole
Not true. I had Tourette’s.

And I won that fight.

Do any of these sufferers ever yell out, "Kittens?" Or maybe "Squirrel's faces are really cute aren't they, i think it's their big, black, eyes that do it for me?" Or shit like that?
