I mean, there's no reason why you'd be supposed to be in front of it, unless you were cooking something. But of course assuming someone's cooking skills based on gender would be in poor taste.

You stand in front of an oven while something is baking? I mean at least get the part of the appliance right. I should be standing in front of the stove top.
