I'm still hung up on greatest fight night ever. Fuck me. Go back and watch Bruce Buffer actually put his heart and soul into it and give a great performance for once, introducing Big Nog vs Randy Couture. Like we didn't get to watch the undefeated (in the UFC) Lyoto Machida against a resurgent Shogun? Twice! And so much more. Honest to fuck people have short memories.

This is a fight whose outcome was practically certain once it went past the second round.

Edit: and I haven't been watching much lately, so I'm only just noticing they're trying to drop the "the" before UFC as much as possible now. When did that start?

Good ideas. Last time we threw on some Cajun seasoning. Instead of chimi I'm thinking a habanero salsa with asparagus. Blackened always sounds good. If it were ahi I'd make some poke.

Nah this shit surpassed those in terms of hype. Conor is undoubtedly a mega-star and Khabib is a p4p great and after all the crazy hype it was nuts to finally see them go at it.

Only event I'd put over this one is Silva-Sonnen 2.

I guess it was just me then, didn't really give a shit. It was a totally predictable fight. The guy who never defends his belt and picks and chooses against his worst possible style matchup. Do people still want to see Conor vs GSP? ROFL

I mean c'mon. In a sport that has seen so many incredible fights, fuck, I'd put Tito vs Randy over this in historical significance. Tito got literally spanked FFS.

I didn't think it was that predictable. McGregor's performance against Alvarez really made me believe he had a good shot at taking Khabib's head off. Of course I favored Khabib but not by much and Conor held his own and might've even won the 3rd round. Conor's skillset isn't as weak to wrestlers as some think, its just that he happened to run into possibly the best grappler in the game when he fought Khabib.
 
That said I do get where you're coming from @Hunter Simpson.

Seems like the UFC calls every other big fight the biggest ever, gets old after a while. But thought it was fairly appropriate here.

As an event in terms of the fights it had, no it wouldn't.

What I meant was how hyped I was for the main event. The card could've been great if Barao-Faber remained on it but once it lost that the only truly great fight was the main event. I think Forrest-Tito 3 was on it so yeah, the rest of the card wasn't so hot.
 
Anyone excited for Halloween? my favorite part of the year....

Imo #1 is GSP vs. BJ II and it's not close.

Two champions of different weight classes, two top five p4p fighters, genuine bad blood, and two extremely passionate fan bases for either fighter. I didn't think BJ stood much of a chance, but man was I hyped to see it.

Well I was still a filthy casual when that fight happened so I didn't really appreciate the gravity of it and wasn't really in on the hype so unfortunately I didn't get to really appreciate that one.
