Well I was still a filthy casual when that fight happened so I didn't really appreciate the gravity of it and wasn't really in on the hype so unfortunately I didn't get to really appreciate that one.

Her statement didn't come off that way to me at all. Seems genuine.

Sounded manufactured and focus tested as all hell to me. Seems like she made a point to hit on all the necessary progressive talking points(LGBT rights, systemic racism, feminism etc). To a certain extent that's not only fine but smart, a public figure of her stature probably shouldn't be posting on social media impulsively and off the cuff(like a certain POTUS I've heard of...). But still, because of that I can't help but feel its a bit calculated. Oh well, can't say I regretted browsing her instagram which I only did thanks to your post so there's that at least. She really is a gorgeous specimen.

I remember how even Anderson got dragged into it. People found a gif of him taking the excess off his face and rubbing his arms and shoulders and spammed it. Not often do you see three champions (all p4p greats) involved in the same scandal.

Looking back, that fight shouldn't have taken place to begin with. BJ was doomed from the start grease or no grease (saying this as a BJ fan, see av), but then it happened and both fighters got their name dragged through the mud. BJ trying to take it to court and having his mom testifying to the athletic comission... what a fucking shitshow.

I remember @Seano mocking the idea that Fedor could outstrike Sylvia (though he predicted that Fedor would eventually get the fight to the ground and win there). He was nearly as big a Sylvia booster as Goober.

I don't think that's fair. If he was still in his physical prime and had modern training, he would still give a lot of HW's a hard time today. He had a lot of those factors that can't be taught, like his reach, height, and durability. He wouldn't be champ or anything, but he'd be a solid gatekeeper in the division.

I always felt sorry for Sylvia and kind of pulled for him, (not against Fedor or Randy). The stories of Hughes and company picking on him were brutal, plus he was goofy.

Anyone else feel like there should be another weight class between light heavy and heavy? Right now it's 206-265, which is a fucking huge weightclass. Every other gap is 9-19 lbs. I think there should be a 206-231, and then a 231+. If you can't cut to 231, you have to fight behemoths. I think that makes more sense as a cut off than 206.
