And GSP would've finished Hardy but he didn't wanna break his arm.
Dude has more top 5 wins than Anderson and Fedor combined so I'd cut him some slack on that fight. Hardy was still #5 at the time and GSP had already beaten #2, #3, and #4.
Oh yeah, I don't think it should be a knock on GSP I was just saying it is in other people's minds.

The UFC gave him the opponent and GSP utterly dominated him.

@Madmick
Any thoughts on the Pixel Slate?
None yet. I'll look at it and the Pixel 3 in more depth probably sometime in the next few weeks. Not a lot exciting in the mobile world, lately, IMO, so I tend to wait until the independent reviewers have had time for extensive hands-on testing. I'll tag you in the smartphone/tablet thread when I post on it if I do.

@Higus

Seriously, I was looking at a lady's S9 today at work.. it's like a kids toy compared to it.

lol I have an S8

I used to be a galaxy user, but then I had a Note 7.

I used it as long as I could but they eventually shut them off and I had to get a new phone so I got a Pixel XL and I don't think I'll go back to Samsung.

They wanted me to give the Note 7 back but I told them to go scratch. It still works on wifi but the screen resolution is nowhere near as good as the Pixel.

RDA, Barboza, Johnson, Conor.
If those 4 are all top guys, I don't see how you can say he's been more impressive than GSP against top guys.

GSP's destruction of Mayhem, Sherk, Trigg, and then admittedly very close fight with BJ, then destruction of Hughes is more domination than Khabib has done.

GSP finished Trigg, Sherk, and Hughes impressively during this run.

And this is even before getting into his reign as WW champion. Khabib doesn't have the numbers for a real, quality comparison, and what he does have isn't as dominant.

IIRC, when I got this phone around spring 2016, there were several factors that went into the decision:
1) I had an iPhone 5 that finally died on me. I wanted to get another iPhone, but the 7 wasn't due out for another 3 months or so and I needed a replacement ASAP
2) There were some deals on Amazon that made the S8 much cheaper than iPhone and Pixel.

All in all, it's been a pretty good phone. I'm not someone who needs to upgrade as soon as the latest version comes out, so I can hold onto this one for another year or so if it holds up. Like Mick said, there haven't been a lot of innovations on smart phones in a while. I am interested to see what a decent Android table looks like.

Disagree.

This bad boy is about to become a category 4 hurricane. And I feel like not enough people are prepared or talking about it

I wouldn't agree with that, unless you're just meaning "top contenders" as a way to distinguish Conor as being a higher quality opponent than GSP's defense (a statement I'd agree with). Khabib is more aggressive and offensive-minded, but GSP completely rendered his opponents harmless - at no point during the matches did they look anything but hopeless. From his win over Hughes (II) and through the next nine fights, I believe he only lost one round, the fifth against Shields, which seemed like a pity score to me anyways. That's three stoppages and 39 won rounds to only 1 lost round.

As someone who always rooted against him, it's almost weird looking back at how futile it was hoping for any of his opponents to win.

IDK, obviously it's his prerogative. It's just kind of annoying because it would have solidified him as (imo) the undisputed GOAT. Also, the fact that he did move up to challenge the title when Bisping, a far inferior fighter, assumed the throne just made him look like an opportunist to me.
Khabib hadn't lost a round until the 3rd against Conor, that's insane given he was 10-0 in the UFC LW division. That's pretty dominant. That said he definitely has a lot of work to do to catch up to GSP, I think even he'd admit that since he calls GSP the GOAT.
What is difficult in these conversations is measuring the quality of opponents in two different divisions. GSP utterly dominated Dan Hardy but he doesn't get major kudos because many felt Hardy didn't belong in there. Iaquinta is a fun fighter and has talent but he is not championship level, so it feels like GSP's win over Hardy. Barboza is a really good win (similar to GSP over Condit?) and beating McGregor is enormous, but I'd argue GSP fought better competition and that explains why Khabib is more dominant. You may be right that Khabib is a more dominant fighter btw. GSP fought using an intelligent strategy which minimized risk to him and to fight in a way where he had the advantage (dominate Hardy on the ground, kick box Shields for example). Khabib tries to kill you and does it. So from that standpoint I think you're right.

I think if Khabib beats the breaks of off Furgeson it's time to put him on that level. I think he needs one more big, top level win. But I think dominating Furgeson will be more difficult than McGregor given his wrestling chops and all around awkwardness.
I always felt that in the GOAT discussion GSP had the advantage in level of competition because I always felt WW was a stronger division than MW under Anderson, LHW under Jones, and HW under Fedor.

But LW is perhaps the only division I'd say is deeper than WW and Khabib has been quite impressive there at 11-0 having lost only one round. If he can go on a streak here and break the title defense record at LW(3) I think he'd have an argument to be included in that discussion among the GOAT.
RDA, Barboza, Johnson, Conor.
Healy was also ranked ~#9 at the time he lost to Khabib but in hindsight not sure you'd still call it a win over top flight competition.

Thing about LW is even the guys outside the top 10 or 15 are pretty good relative to other divisions.

Ok there is a lot here so I’ll probably miss or take things out of context but let me try to catch up

GSP vs BJ not Anderson: Not comparable. After GSP lost to Hues the first time (which we all know was nerves and a white belt bjj mistake made on his second UFC match), Dana was supposed to give him a rematch after the trig and sherk fights but called up GSP and said and I quote “I hate BJ, you got to fight him, you are going to be my fucking assasin”. The eye gouge performance gave BJ enough cred to rematch when GSP had the belt.

So it was not a move up in weight, BJ was in the division, hats off to him for that of course.

GSP was not small for WW at the time, I agree, a bit bigger than average, again, at the time. I don’t blame him for not moving up. There are weight classes for a reason. We can all see what happened to our heros who ignored this. Hindsight I wish Sak had not fought such massive foes all the time.

GSP fought at MW way after Anderson was even relevant and after a long lay off. Most people were giving Bisping the better odds, so the fight is only a positive for GSP, again does not belong in the Anderson conversation.

Also he destroyed KOS twice, even that one round he lost on 2 judges’ cards was arguable super close.

Dan Hardy, no GSP was trying for the sub, Hardy had crazy defense. It was fn insane.

And finally Khabib can suck a dick until there is way more data on him for a meaningful comparison. :)

Peace out

George Bless!!!!!
