Appreciate the compliment, but I have to say that Heretic has cracked me up plenty of times. And not just because I'm dry and crack easily.

Oh, but theyre easy to troll.

About 10 minutes in to them explaining about lossless recordings and the right speakers, or the warmth of vinyl, making that very personal recommendation - talk about how you plan to use that equipment to get the most out of your limp biscuit collection. Did it to my cousin, the disgust on his face lol

I've been there when i went built my home theater system. Once you wade thru the snobbery youll realize the law of diminishing returns comes into play pretty quickly with speakers. You could build a quality surround sound system for under 3000 that will exceed most commercial theater experiences.

Definitely. I'm in the market for some studio monitors and there's definite grades to the different speakers. You need about 500 bucks to get into the ''these are the best speakers you've ever heard'' range, and then about another 1000 to get into the ''these are a lil better tho'' range. Thanks, I think I'll find a different use for my 1000.

LOL funny coincidence--I was saying the same sort of thing about audio these days to someone else just the other day. You have to spend quite a lot of money for quite a small difference, relatively. I'll do that for the corrective lenses in my glasses but I just don't need that extra 1% in sound quality at my age when I have other spending priorities.
