I think in theory it might be better but in practice not worth the effort to achieve in the US.

I like school girl outfits, not because of the creepy adolescent angle but because I like the combo of dress shirt and short kilted skirts. In Japan the school girl outfit is dress shirt with a box pleat skirt which is even better.

Also, people in Detroit are really...nice. Except driving. But in shithole apartment buildings and run down streets, overall everyone has been really good to me. Much nicer than St Louis suburbs.

He never lost by KO. TKO yes, so you know, asterisk, but never flat out KO'd. Even against Ali and Foreman. Chin like a cinder block. And yes, pretty chill dude by all accounts.

To be fair the reason why a lot of people went after Netflix was because of the way they marketed Cuties. The poster, the synopsis (overly charitable way to describe Netflix's shitty description box), the trailer... Netflix not only failed to properly market Cuties on the basis of what it tried to display, they went out of their way to market it as something else entirely.

Of course anyone criticizing the people responsible for making it is either a grifter or a blistering idiot, but fuck Netflix.

There's little to no correlation between the ability to tell a good story and the business acumen (for the lack of a better term) needed to identify the story elements that will be popular among the target audience.

Heck, those elements are often bad writing in and off themselves (I'm looking at you Twilight), so it's pretty difficult to reconcile the two.
 
Is Anime Haram?
No. However, as long as you do not watch ecchi, hentai, yaoi, yuri or anything sexual at all, it's fine to watch anime. There is also the aspect where if you watch anime & forget to pray/fast, it will become haram. Anything that stops you from praying or practicing islam is considered haram.

You know, I could be absolutely fine with ultraweebs like those. There's a lot of fandom out there that I find to be waaaaaay more toxic when taken to it's extremes (sports being the prime example).

But their fascination with young girls is just not ok. It's complicated enough that you can't nail it down as straight up :eek::eek::eek::eek: shit, but it's also weird enough to raise some eyebrows on the most charitable people. I'm talking about stuff like "my waifu looks like an 8 year old girl but she's actually a 5 thousand years old avatar from an outer dimension so it's really ok".
