Literally my workout on alternating days after warm up

Monday:
Squat
Deadlifts
30 minute treadmill

Tuesday:
SOHP
Bench
60 minute treadmill

Wednesday:
Squat
Deadlifts
Farmer walks
30 minute treadmill

Thursday:
Same as Tuesday
Yeah I’m pretty busy so I’m all about the big compound lifts too. I used to squat and deadlift on the same day but not any more, now I alternate like on that template I shared.

Thankfully I have a home gym in my garage. Full rack with pull up bar and bumper plates for Olympic lifts, no treadmill but a rowing machine which I prefer. If I’m gonna run I just hit the road.

I need to get a home gym. First purchase after I get my own house or a rental home to myself.

LOL at Alex Jones and Rubio, infowars is hurting for attention

How the hell did he remain calm all of the primary and then snap over Jones?

I have a home gym but the weights are just a bench and dumbbells with adjustables (20 - 90 lbs each) plus dip/pull up rack that stays outside in the FL weather.

The best part is the thick judo mats in the nanny suit (I set them up outside if it’s not to hot and training with a friend). I also have a Submission master (sux to heavy/floppy to drill), a smaller / lighter dummy that I really like for technique, and a third straight leg dummy that is hanging from the ceiling with the legs secured to ground with bungie cords (I used that to practice takedowns, singe leg x, full x, shin to shin, open guard, etc, etc).

Home gyms are fun but motivation / dedication can be a real factor. Some people think that they will train so much if they only had a home gyms. The reality is that if a 10 min drive is blocking you from working out, the home gym won’t change it. As a huge on and offer I know that from my experience anyway. That said I love having it. Hurt my back last weekend and did not go to class this week, 60 minutes of the basics on the dummy and I felt great.

No I don’t have a real doll.....

Consistency is key.
Everytime I have a major injury or illness which breaks the routine, I end up getting massively out of shape until being out shape becomes more of a PITA than the hard slog of getting back into the routine.

I wonder what the best way to train is in terms of avoiding injury. I always imagined it would be about keeping it at low intensity but at that point you have to be dedicated to get anything out of working out.

I've never really injured myself just doing cycling and bagwork (not in a way that would stop me training). Worst I've had from free weights was tearing a shoulder (and once I didn't realise I had a broken wrist until I tried to do bench press and it separated).
Most of my injuries have been from motor vehicle accidents and sparring. Even kickboxing sparring I've never had worse than a broken thumb and dislocated kneecap, but once you mix in takedowns and grappling the injury levels seem to skyrocket.

People can sense weakness. Jones reeks of desperation at this point. Making Rubio seem like a hard ass is truly a new low. It's like getting beaten up by Kip from Napoleon Dynamite.

Do u think Rubio snapped? I thought he handled it well for Rubio, Jones came off as unhinged and ignored.

I've never seen him allude to "handling someone" physically like that. I'm not saying he handled it poorly but it surprises me he seemed more annoyed with Jones than what Trump did to him during the primary.

Low impact body weight excercises not done until failure with frequency. Focusing on flexibility as well. Swimming not running, etc.

Of course that's boring and won't win you cage fights (grrr fight me - who am I), but even then its good to have a routine like that as a supplement.

Well he was trolling trump pretty well until he jumped the shark.

Rubio got baited into saying he wasn't going to call the police so what else is he supposed to say? He'll just sit there and take it?

That's what I mean. I think he stay way more collected at that time. Even when he went full off jokes/insults, none of it seemed angry.

True. I just found the exchange funny cause I never saw Rubio like that. I think it legit pissed Jones off Rubio said he didn't know who he was.

All was not lost on the smoked salmon. In fact, very good dip and excellent pasta in cream sauce makes this quite the success. Hey, who eats smoked salmon filet as an entree anyway?:D

Next up, beef jerky.

I feel it's finally time to get serious about a home gym myself. Til now it's been a heavy bag hanging in the basement and some kettle bells. But, we're moving next month and I'll have a chance for a fresh start. Any recommendations? I figure the first two things I need are flooring and a rack. This is the rack I'm thinking about:

Might get one of those big ass ropes, too.

I like to believe once I get a house and one of those, I'll be fairly content.

I actually thought Rubio came off as pretty likable/relatable in the exchange too, which is hard for someone with no brain, soul, or spine.

I think him being pissed at that guy made him likable so the two aren't in conflict with each other. I'm not trying to say he messed up.

I know what you mean. But I'm also kind of psyched about the project itself, and planning a whole room with no real (at least not prohibitive) limits.

The cool thing about the new house is the setup will allow me to hang a big screen and some sound easily in the section where the gym will be. Plus being a walk-out there'll be a view of the woods and hills behind us.
