but also, when your country industrializes, small time family farms are put out of business. one farmer can use machinery to do what 30 families once did. so those families now move to the city to find work. the kids they once had, could help them on the farm, and feed themselves with their work. all of the sudden those same kids go from being producers, to being a burden. so, predictably, people begin to have fewer kids. as you develop even more, jobs become more and more demanding, requiring more and more education. high school is no longer sufficient for even the mid level jobs, and people go to school into their early to late 20s. putting off having kids in many cases until theyre out.

and kids are no longer needed as an insurance policy. most developed countries have a retirement plan(s). even less of a reason to make 9 humans.

im not anti-kid as some posters seem to imply. im just pointing out what are seemingly obvious nuts and bolts to me. in tokyo, kids are a burden, no matter how much you may love them. in mongolia, kids are a necessity, whether you love them or not.

Think about this: You can invest in stocks, gold, commodities, and all kinds of shit, but a HOME is an investment that you actually derive everyday benefits from. I was. It was an experience for about 8 or 9 years. I learned a lot about people.

Investment RE was my specialty. I cashed out all of mine in 2006 as I saw the crash in advance. Most of my clients did too. The ones that remained were the long term duders. They won out too. Diversity is diversity. That’s it, in theory. There are too many unknown factors. Diversity could mean anything. It could mean adding midgets to a basketball team. There was never an indication that it meant strength or weakness.

Then, in reality, in action, the type of diversity being brought in is a cancerous weakness. Bringing in coddling moth to untainted branches in the hopes it will see the error of its ways.

This is absolute madness, and never made sense from the beginning. “We are a nation of immigrants! We have always allowed immigration!” Ok, it worked out here and there, it will always work out, even with completely different immigrants in a different time. And, also, it’s brought carnage before. Bringing in mass amounts of Italians and lumping them together in ghettos instead of slowly integrating them in existing American culture brought such wonders as The Mafia! Really improved the country there.
