WAR ROOM LOUNGE V15: Lunge

You spent a very long time being the hot dog gif guy. It actually had to be brought up and spoken about that people are now not allowed to spam that specific gif because of you. For a while your entire reply to people was rob ford hot dogs. That's trolling.
It's just being a dick, imo. I used it as a response post.

I could've just as easily told them their argument was terrible, and that they were idiots. I chose the gif because I liked it.

The "no snitching" culture is shitty, even on forums. On a side note, it's hilarious how many times throughout the years I have seen anti-black posters complain about the "no snitching" ethic while holding that it's wrong to "snitch" here.

As a poster, there is an overriding disincentive to reporting posts. Mods (not all of them or even a majority of them, obviously) share information with regular posters about which posters report people, and this information gets around in PMs. If it ever becomes public, the person who consistently reports posts that break the rules is harassed endlessly.

I report a post maybe once a year on average (less counting my entire time here), most recently for somebody who has been spreading lies about me for years. What stops me from reporting more posts is not some personal no snitching ethic, but because 1) I enjoy fucking with them right back, which means that it would be unethical to report them, 2) Apathy, but also 3) Because I don't want to be on "the list" because it would result in me being harassed, which just isn't something I feel like dealing with.

If there was no stigma, I would probably report several posts a month in here, because it would be good for the forum. It would be very easy to report 50 posts a year without ever making a report that is borderline or inappropriate. There is a diffusion of responsibility in a no-snitching culture which polarizes people into "snitches" and "cool." The poster who chooses to use the report feature as intended will end up with a number of reports that, if made public, would cause them harassment.

The problem you and a few others have here is that this forum is not a serious one. It's an mma forum with a healthy Off topic culture. Not just the actual OT, it's across all subs. If you guys want go and find a different place to discuss politics. This will never be a 100 percent serious place where reporting people will make a difference or actually help things. You said it yourself, mods show who report people here. This is not a professional setting for serious discussion or politics. Roll with it (which you do) or just don't try and change it. It won't ever happen.

Personally my vote was for getting rid of image posting in the war room altogether.

Apparently it wasn't a popular opinion...

We had some really good debates in like 2009-2010. We disagreed vehemently, but he was intelligent and very well read.

We had a really good back and forth about the Gaza Flotilla Raid in 2010.

The difference is your side was in control so you tolerated things. Now that your side is losing you have also lost your mind. Donald trump has done a number on people here. There will not be any civil intelligent discussion while he is in office. The playing field is a mess right now and your side is at least half to blame.

What does this have to do with the post you quoted?

Maybe I believe you, sure. But it comes across as trolling. Come on man, it's a gif of hot dogs and a shitty mayor. No one is going to decipher your mood or anything. You should have replied to them and destroyed their argument then.

No, the bullpen, like in baseball. Like, he's waiting to get called into the game.

And no, I met her after we were both out of college.

Oh, like a professional MLB guy? What team?
Well, at least she didn't leave you for some loser.

You talked about intelligent discussions back in the day. While your side was in power. It's easier to allow discussion or talk with people when your side is winning. Moral is high.

No, dammit, it's a colloquialism.

Some women keep all their guy friends in the bullpen, in case they need to be called up.

The forum is what you make it. We already have a forum for empty, pointless insult comedy. And I wouldn't be so pessimistic. The WR is definitely better now than it was in 2016, for example. It's been better at other times than it is now.

No, I talked about intelligent discussions with a specific poster. Because, despite our disagreements, he gave a good faith effort to argue his point.

There's a huge difference between that type of exchange, and but Obama and but Hillarying every thread. Which is what was happening when the Ford Dogs were flying.

Sketch, at no time is your attempt to bring me over to the OT anything less than 99.9% transparent.

K1's posts were perfectly topical and valid. Them getting banned was a perfect example of the forced both sidesism and false equivalence of the right/left.

Too obvious.

You young'uns with your mobile phones and moving pictures...
Go for a leak and the next thing you know, BAM!
The War Room looks like a teenage facebook news feed.

So Southern Decadence is kicking off and I've already dealt with shocked tourists lol.

Nothing like seeing the shocked face of a redneck tourist when I tell him it's going to get ten times wilder as the weekend goes on.

Also I was walking down Bourbon Street to work and this tourist bumps this crazy drunk chick with her car (for the record if you guys visit don't bother driving through the French Quarter.) And honks at her

The chick goes insane screaming at them. Scared white lady in the back is yelling sorry with her head out the window and catches a mean right hook.

I start to pull my phone out and she yells "mind your fucking business" to me. Which I promptly did

Oh I see. How autistic of me ;P Damn, my wife better not have a bullpen! We have three kids and a house by the beach though, and I keep her happy, so I'm probably safe for now (prolly get in trouble if she knew I posted on Sherdog when I'm supposed to be working).

You in LA too? Whereabouts?
