This guy destroys the arrogance and falsehoods of Marxism.
This guy destroys the arrogance and falsehoods of Marxism.
If I can keep up the not smoking weed thing, I stand to save six grand in 12 months.
This guy destroys the arrogance and falsehoods of Marxism.
To be fair it was Richard Spencer who coined the term. Bannon just ran with it once he realized it had legs.
But yeah, traditional mom and dad Heritage Foundation conservatives (Ben Shapiro for instance) definitely have a weird relationship with the alt-right. Their condemnation is half-assed and they constantly find themselves arguing the same points. They will scream at the top of their lungs about far leftists promoting something on gender identity or whatever, meanwhile there are people seriously arguing for the creation of a white ethnostate or "peaceful ethnic cleansing" and their reaction towards it is "well yeah that's kind of bad... but what about them antifa thugs!"
Ben Shapiro is definitively not a "traditional mom and dad Heritage Foundation conservative" imo.
Can't you just grow it? I mean... it's a weed.
Or is that how much less you'll spend on food without the munchies?
I've been smoking two and half ounces a month for the past decade and a half, I generally paid 200 an ounce for AAA herb. Except for work, I'm literally always high. I told myself that if other people can take SSRI's that give them suicidal ideation, whats wrong with a likkle leaf to buffer my psyche from the rigors of Babylon? But probably long ago I past over from it being a lofty pastime to a hardened dependancy, it become entirely too mechanical of a ritual. Joyless even. So after hard stuff, booze and hook-up sex, this was the last dragon I have to slay in order to level up.
Plus it's going to be legal in my country next month; the gleeful subversiveness I used to feel is long gone, but now i got nephews who are entering into young adulthood. I want to be above reproach in order to be able to rightfully reproach them when needed.
Well that post gets top billing
Always wondered how ducks screw...
Yeah, but to counter his points I have here an interview with a local vagrant shitting into hat.
(FWIW, I actually like some of what Lanier has produced and appreciate his insights. But his takes on Marxism are utterly stupid and not entirely dissimilar to those of Jordan Peterson: refusing to actually understand the subject matter and instead recklessly concocting scary buzzwords without any regard for their actual meaning. See: Digital Maoism. Anyone even passingly familiar with Maoism would recognize that it's the single least fitting quasi-ideology on the left for that purpose. Digital Juche would have at least made a little sense.)
@GearSolidMetal said that Shapiro can make devil's advocate arguments for socialism that are better than those made by actual advocates, but he didn't respond when I asked him to summarize Shapiro's pro-socialism argument. Just mentioned this in another thread, but if you understand an argument, you should be able to present both sides of it accurately.
Was this meant to be in reply to me? I have GSM blocked, so I can't see his posts
I have seen one right-of-center person in my entire life who has a coherent, good-faith grasp on Marxism in my entire life, and it happens to be a poster on this forum: TheGreatA. But it may well be that he's just an old-style Eastern communist-nationalist and that's what gives the scent of right-wing sentiment.
I would love to see Shapiro's take. I'm sure it would be something similar to the professor-who-gives-everyone-C's folklore.
Balvenie Caribbean Cask is godly and worth every penny. But if you must part with it...Trying to help my bar revamp their liquor selection starting with the Scotch. Everything but the Dewar's is minimum 12 year aged and like over $75 a bottle so they aren't selling.
Got a list myself that I'll post if anyone is interested in the suggestions I have pitched but am open to some suggestions from you too
This is what we have right now:
Glenfiddich 12
Oban 14
Dewar's White Label
Macallan 12
Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask
Johnnie Walker Black
Suggesting:
Macallan 10 Fine Oak
Johnnie Walker Black and Red
Glenlivet 15 French Cask (like $57.99 MSRP)
Balvenie 12 (the 14 we have is almost $100... the 12 is like $65)
Dewar's White
Oban I don't want to touch as the manager's dad suggested it
Glenfiddich 12
Maybe swap out something for a bottle of Hibiki Harmony
Pretty sure @PolishHeadlock is a Scotch guy but open to suggestions from anyone.
Yeah, just riffing on your comment. I was genuinely interested in Shapiro's take. I looked up columns, and saw this:

Yikes. That's really poorly argued.
And this:

Which, if anything, is worse.
See, I have no experience prior to this job with the Caribbean Cask.Balvenie Caribbean Cask is godly and worth every penny. But if you must part with it...
In my opinion, Balvenie 12 is meh and overpriced. Glenlivet 12 French Oak is as good or better and way cheaper. You could carry the 15 and the 12 both at a lower price than the Balvenie. Another one I like a lot is Highland Park. It comes out of a sherry cask and is really easy to drink.

Well, if you've got a good reason to ditch it, good on you.
It's been decriminalised here since I was a kid, so I look at it a bit like coffee or homebrew.
I don't think anyone I knew who smoked more than a J-bag (roughly 2 grams) a week didn't grow it.
When I was in highschool 10 plants was the decriminalised limit for personal use. After the "hydro boom", they decreased that in stages. First to 3 plants, and now I think it's 5 plants, but no hydro gear.
I think it's healthy to pretend to date obscure, childlike southeast Asian fashion models on a karate forum. Not only does it not hurt anybody, it makes us happier through smiling and laughter.I'll never understand why people do dis
