Still watching this show and still thinking it sucks. Their handling of the rape case in season 3 is completely absurd as a matter of law. A guy commits a rape and they pick him up based on witness description, then say they can't pursue a case against him because they broke chain of custody on some erroneous piece of evidence linking him to the crime? How could writers working for a show about organized crime proffer such a legally moronic narrative? The evidence wouldn't affect the probable cause of the arrest or the post-indictment case against him - the victim's eye witness testimony and the DNA from the crime scene would be enough.
