Yep, I had started adjusting my half guard to something different right before and was getting results and now it’s probably gone. I’m pretty simple. If this hadn’t affected BJJ, I hardly would’ve noticed aside from news.

What were you doing? Knee shield, lockdown, Z, ''tornado'' or whatever crazy bullshit abreu was doing?

I mean, I always somewhat do a knee shield but it was more being able to extend that arm on the knee shield side out with my leg or catching an overextended and being able to get a sweep. Just timing stuff that had been starting to finally come together. I also was getting more comfortable with octopus because of a sweep I like where you have to keep their arm in at their hip and you end up doing a back roll from it. I wasn’t hitting the angle right the first month or so doing it but now it usually feels smooth and when I doesn’t, I know where to transition/ move on to.

I also just got Farias half guard series for free with some deal cause of the virus closing down gyms. I don’t really buy many series’s but really felt like his game would help me a lot as I don’t really play Deep half at all yet.

I really wish that Langaker/Mathiesen would give us some corona deals. I love the way those guys fight.

I don’t really follow the sport well and probably should. The amount of names I know are minimal. I know there was a free Faria series, some judo series, and self drill series with Danaher. I doubt any others will give something away.

I picked up the Faria pressure passing series and his BJJ fundamentals. They're good.

Langaker won the euros this year. Mathiesen and him run a school in some podunk town in Norway. They both got their brown belts under Mendes. Crab rides from everywhere.

There is truth to that despite the fact that on surface it makes little sense. Zizek once made this point as it relates to political correctness, how despite being ostensibly a set of norms in favor of oppressed classes in practice its something that is more commonly associated with the educated upper classes while the working class tends to be more vulgar.

So Trump's vulgarity made him, seem more relatable to the working class, especially working class men, because despite having little to nothing in common with them Trump at least spoke more like them than your average politician who tends to have very polished speech.

Kind of an indictment of America that all one needs to do to be relatable as a politician is be a unapologetic vulgar asshole but it is what it is I guess.

Yeah, it depends on how you frame it. Obviously Trump can't literally relate to the experience of common people, but some common people, particularly rotten, callous, and emotionally shallow ones, do feel that he speaks to some basic sense of commoners' truth. He speaks to a common sense, which is really just a hateful reduction of complicated phenomena into aggressively ignorant framing.
