Let's try something olive-branch-y. I'll give you a sincere backhanded compliment, @Lead. Lacking integrity when dealing with an emotionally-challenging intellectual superior on a karate forum is not the worst sin in the world. You're above average intelligence and you reach beyond your level, trying to be better-informed and more objective than you currently are, and that's an ongoing thing. You care about knowledge and what the truth is, and you want to know more and be closer to the truth. You're also in at least the 75th percentile of the population in being open to being proven wrong.

When you're not dealing with something that gets your goat, you clearly try to maintain that objectivity, and you succeed reasonably frequently. I've seen some improvement in your "both sideism" over the last couple years, though not as much as one would hope. And despite the fact that you have a dormant lung disease waiting to ravage you to your early demise, your remaining years will have you just on the verge of contentedness; not too discontent, but also not ready to settle for anything yet. You're an average forum moderator, and an above average karate forum moderator, though that is kind of an indictment when you think about it.

Now, like a conscientious BJJ black belt, I've given you something to work with, and you can take the opening or not. I'm not gonna twist you up into a pretzel and shit.
 
Does @Lead post in some section of the forum that I cant see? Do you guys have knock down drag out discussions via PM? I dont see how or where he could really get anyones goat like that.
 
Maybe you guys are battling it out in that cesspool streetfighter subforum. That would explain things.

I think you've been around long enough to know that up-temper PM exchanges with any moderator are answered by form letters. That's just an Internet thing, I think.

The piece of my example was to point out how fast people can interpret being harassed, not to compare the two instances in every aspect. That’s what my point was when making a guideline about it and defining it. There hasn’t been an easy way to determine a line or what the remedy would be. We’ve recommended the ignore function unless they are breaking other rules.

I don’t want to get into Rip and Homer but isolating an instance to defend or attack them misses way to much context and history that had to be handled (either publicly or behind the scenes). It was messy and there wasn’t a clean cut solution to most of the situations we were presented with but I think we came out of it (finally) and things have cooled down.

I don’t know what I’m suppose to take from it but thanks I guess. The lung thing is now a continuing narrative that I’ll admit has me interested what it’s about.

I think The Great Beyond is the second place I post the most and that would probably be a 99/1 ratio with the WR. I’ve been tempted to give Mayberry a try but there aren’t that many familiar faces. I’m stuck in my ways.
