And Overeem fled the country. Wanderlei did the same thing. Overeem didn't even get punished at all the 1st time he ran.
 
He can always fight in his country and anywhere else far from this comic NSAC.

i don't like either of you, but i think hans is right here. they seem similar and AO seems to have messed up worse than wand.

are you stupid or did you hit your head recently? The commission accepted his testimony in regards to the 141 case, therefore he didn't run.

at the 146 presser he ran and was told to return and did. Wand was told to return and fled to Brazil.

that is why Overeem got 9 months and wand got an indefinite suspension. If wand had come back when told too, he would have got 6-12 months.....oh well.

Overeem was smart enough not to wait until the commission testing guy was there standing infront of him. Overeem gave himself a plausible (slightly) story.

his contract with the ufc is a separate matter though a slick lawyer might be able to get him out of it seeing as he can never really fight for the ufc again.

I agreed with this decision though I'm pretty disgusted by the NSAC's inconsistent judgment is in doling out punishments.

It's hard to justify a lifetime ban when Overeem got a slap on the wrist for the same thing.

As long as the rules are known and enforced with some semblance of uniformity I'll be fairly happy. I do not expect to be happy.
 
Who cares? Dude has retired, he isn't fighting anymore and all he was doing was getting knocked out by mid-level fighters. He was cheating and this ban is simply to seal the deal on his retirement; final nail in the coffin and I am fine with it.

not ignoring, I just don't care if he (or any fighter) is licensed or not. I have no issue at all with the NSAC testing any fighter at any time.

What Overeem did was actually worse than Silva. He ran twice and only got 9 months out of the whole thing and was called "nice and respectful" by the commission as they gushed over him.
