I know it's still early in the voting, but as of right now, there are 7 people in the top 4. You guys are really trying to throw a wrench in my tournament plan, aren't you?

holy shit thats messed up!

Now that I gave a closer look on these sixteen entries, there should be a whole nine fellows racing for the victory. And even the rest deserve at least a dandelion crown.

@Slobodan 's first round masterpiece might still be my favorite:

I may have to make it an 8-man tournament. I thought it would be close but not this close!
I think an eight man tournament is a good idea, only because it involves more people.
Not saying this to make sure I take part, if it was a 16 man tournament I might stand a chance of getting in (as an alternate bout!!)

I originally was going to do 8 but ended up deciding on 4. I know life can get in the way and some people may not have time to do three more rounds of this. If it seems life the majority is in agreement to expand it to 8, I'll change it.

A more immediate concern would be how the hell are the prizes in this round gonna be divided? :$
If there are any ties in the top 3, I'll put up the extra money. I don't know how to divide software licenses though.

Another option is that we could make a separate third place runoff head to head matchup with the same images. If we have a tie at the end of this final round, we'd need to make sure the artists aren't revealed until the tiebreaker has happened to remain impartial. I don't recall the initial rules for tiebreaker and I can't find BWR's first rules thread.

wow, EVERYone kicked it up a gear or two. all winners imo

dang, now i gotta go and vote

I'll double check, but I don't think anything was in the rules about ties. We'll see how the voting goes and figure it out if there is a tie. I won't reveal any names until the results are certain.

There's another issue with anonymity though. In the tournament, should it still be anonymous? A lot of our artists have an easily identifiable style by now, so it could be a disadvantage for those that don't really have a defined style. I never thought people voting for the artist rather than the art was a big problem, but it is a gray area.

you can tell a lot of contestants are traditional shoopers based on their concepts and ideas

A lot of good ones in this.....I was on vacation and didn't have access to a PC with a mouse to enter the final round.

Hopefully I can still enter future contests.

I also wouldn't mind donating something to the pot for winners in the future

3 had me laughing!....Vitor thinks he can take the place of Christ the Redeemer.

The idea is WAY more important than the quality of the art work.

I had to change one of my votes to rep number 3

edit: it said it had 0 votes a minute ago and now it has 4, how queer

Well I know certain shoopers have a reputation, and are names in the community that are the "pros" and people root for and want to succeed so we can have our own sort of mascot. If GSPonaboat entered into this contest and his name was attached to his picture, you better believe people would vote for him just because it's his. Also, I wouldn't want favoritism for posters over others, because we do have sycophants that would probably vote for a mod just because it's a mod (and the opposite I'm sure, the ones that like to "fight the power".) In the head to head matchups for the tourney, it would make sense to reveal them, but the way it is now, I like the anonymity.

I think that all entries should send in $5 or $10 depending on the amount of entries and then disperse it accordingly.

The ONLY thing I don't like so much is being able to vote 10 or 5 times. I never voted for myself and wouldn't but, if 1 person has the ability to vote 10 or 5 times for themself, it kind of messes up the results in being fair.

You can't vote 5 times for the same drawing. You can place 1 vote for 5 different drawings.

Such great work here.

Thanks for organizing it.
