Volkanovski won against Islam

Islam won but it was quite close. I would even say Volk had the strongest moment in the fight. Islam banked away enough control time to win.
 
Everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that Volk was the one who was actually stalling in that position when Islam had him controlled in the body triangle in the 4th

Instead of working his way back to his feet like he should have or reversing position

Volk instead was just whining into the camera like a drunk bogan for the dropbear crowd acting like a diva

A moment like that costed him the win in a very close fight
 
Islam won, and.whats the point in ever entertaining a challenge from a lower weight champ, if everyone is gonna cry about the size advantage even if you win.

Volk did try to escape, but couldn't roll to the right side because the fence was in his way, which islam used in order to aid him in his stalling efforts. You're pretty much explaining how volk killed Islam's offense from that position for several minutes while being able to get some of his own offense off.

Again, volk couldn't turn his hips the right way because they were against the fence. He didn't have much options there other than prevent all of Islam's offense, which he did, and send back his own, which he did.

Islam calling out a featherweight instead of a Welterweight right after winning the title due to having a huge size advantage thinking he’d just roll through Volk ended up looking very bad though, Volk is basically now the Interim Lightweight and Featherweight champ because of that fight.

Volk meanwhile barely has a scratch and ends up in the most dominant position of the whole fight after one of the trickiest trips I’ve ever seen in the UFC.

It was a great fight, and I do recall a straight left Islam had caught Volk with that rocked him, as well as a beautiful takedown entrance that was absolutely perfect in execution, double leg but the way Islam wrapped himself on Volk’s leg was lighting fast.

I remember thinking he got outpointed, but that if he had another round he would have stopped him. I thought Volk broke Islam mentally, and was taking over and getting stronger…..then the fight ended.

That is Volk's fault for allowing Islam to control him in a position where there no option to turn the hips, Volk should have not allowed Islam to put him in that position

Just those type of mistakes that Volk made is a reason he lost a very close fight against Islam
 
Volk won the last 4 rounds. Rounds are based on damage which was all volk. Islam did great, but it is so far up there for robbery of the year
