Volk had no offence. Baby punches are not offense but a desperate attempt to try to deceive people that he is doing ‘something’.

the reality is that Volk was stalling. You can’t blame Islam. Volk is the one that has to get out of a back take position. If he can’t do that. This simply means that Islam has effective grappling to prevent him from escaping.
Even volk agrees with me. He knew he was losing. He knew in what kind of bad spot he was. He couldn’t do anything about it. He tried to fool people out of frustration acting full confident while yelling out of desperation.
He knew he lost the fight when losing the fourth round. His coaches already told him that he lost two rounds in between the rounds before the fourth round.
His face was the face of a man that was realising that he lost the fight.

...people actually believe this? It was 49-46 Islam with Volk only winning round 5 and Islam outstriking Volk for the majority of the rest of the fight. MMA fans really cannot identify strikes that land or strikes that miss. They only score forward movement and takedowns, but in this case I'm not even sure what you morons were scoring for Volk besides round 5. This is coming from someone who was rooting for Volk.

No but he did so much better than most people expected. Exceeding expectations is often mistaken for winning by fans. Islam won at least 3 rounds in My opinion but Volk made him WORK for it. I feel like you can only give Volk the win is by giving him the round where Islam was on his back the whole time which would be beyond brain dead scoring.

It was a very close fight. Volk is an incredible fighter. A rematch could be interesting

You're correct on the position. I disagree that Islam was stalling. He was actively attacking but Volk completely gave up on trying to escape due to the position and focused on sub defense. Granted, I'd do the same thing. Ain't no way am I giving islam of all people room to work submissions. Volk had no good options that round. He adjusted wonderfully after that tho
