Topuria is the worst matchup possible for Volk. His boxing is more polished, has very good ground game and has shown that he can go all 5 rounds. This is the fight where he loses in my opinion.

People have been saying this same shit for every Volk fight since he fought Aldo, literally every single time other than KZ.

Aldo is too skilled, way better striking, will eat his legs alive, easy win for Aldo - Volk handled him easily
Holloway - No way Volk beats Max, what is his path to victory, he can't strike with Max and he won't be able to wrestle him, easy win for Max - Volk wins 3-0
Ortega - This is it, this is the time Volk loses, Ortegas ground game is the best in the UFC, when it goes to the ground it's over, Volk will sleep - Volk survives deadly chokes and dominates
Islam - No way Volk makes it out of the first round, absolute domination from Islam, easy win, gets subbed within 30 secs - Volk gives Islam his toughest fight to date over 5 round war
Yair - Ok guys for sure this is the one, Yair is a way better striker and he has improved since Frankie, Yair will light up Volk all day just like he did Emmett, has to many weapons - Yair dominated, gets finished.

Yeah I am gonna go with Volk, Top hasn't got anything he hasn't seen before, he will find a way.

Hes still looking great but at that age you're likely to get old overnight at any given moment. I doubt hes going to make it past 37 without taking losses.

Could definitely see Max/Volk 4 happening and that time Volk is declining due to age and loses.

It have more to do with fight mileage than age. Also the motivation gets less with mileage.

Could very well have a champ over age 35 in those weight classes but the chance gets less the more fighting mileage that fighter has.
