I did. I'm actually a big fan of Volk and theres nothing wrong with keeping it safe.

Like the other greats, I could see him suddenly going downhill with either someone new beating him or a current fighter really improving while he is going downhill and beating him.

If Max can avoid sustaining too much damage, he might be able to outlast him and be champ for a minute, no guarantee of that though if someone new comes along.

I love Volk but I definitely have a bad feeling about the Illia fight. I just can't shake the feeling that we're going to see a change of the guard and Volk will look old against the young explosive prospect. Hope I'm wrong but we'll see.

His division has only had 3 other champions so not that compelling of a statistic.

not a big fan of the assumption that if a champ loses its because they aged. i believe topurias skillset is just better than volks, and if he beats him, it's because he was better not because volk got old.
