** Vitor Belfort Talks TRT **

Vitor said it best when he said TRT is legal and leave it to the governing body, laws, and UFC to make decisions. It's like us judging someone for smoking marijuana in Holland.

Governing bodies, law makers, and UFC execs are not in the cage. Theyre not putting their safety on the line against fighters who may be synthetically enhanced & trying to beat their skulls in. If fighters have strong feelings on the matter, they should speak up. Saying "well its deemed legal, so case closed" is crap.

Whats the difference between fighting a man who naturally produces double the testosterone that you do and fighting a man who injects synthetic testosterone to raise his level to double that of yours?

Do you know what your endogenous levels are?

Wasn't Todd Duffee also on TRT? (not for his last fight)

There was on guy on TRT on the Jones - Belfort card wasn't there? And it was never made public who was using it and a lot of people thought it was Belfort which wouldn't surprise me

His answer isn't doing him any favors either. They should have really released the name of who was on it; it taints every fighter on the card.

By this logic, you should be able to dope up because guys are stronger and faster than you too.

Translation: I'm on TRT. It's none of your business. It's legal.

And in the case of Belfort, if they don't have strong feelings they won't speak up. It's not hard to follow

no shit hes not going to say anything about it, everyone knows his stake in this case

TRT should be banned from the UFC.

It's banned in all major sports except Cage fighting, the most dangerous. Makes zero sense for a guy to step into a cage with naturally low levels fight to exhaustion.

Doesn't seem safe and of course opens the doors for abuse or former steroid users who wrecked their bodies to get the fountain of youth.

It's not like he never tested positive before so what did they expect him to answer ?

Thats exactly what my logic is. If you ever listen to scouts or college coaches you'll constantly hear the phrase "God given talent". God given talent is when you have a genetic advantage over most "normal" people.

If one guy has the God given talent of producing more testosterone than most other athletes, why shouldn't the other athletes be allowed to weigh the risks and benefits for themselves and supplement their own testosterone?

If you say it like this, TRT seems like a wonder drug

Come on Vitor, people will not judge you for your past steroids use or your current TRT use. People will only judge on your many victories...via punches to the back of the head.

Vitor is most likely on some hormone therapy.
vitor roided when he was younger and probably more than we think. Plus he's had a rollercoaster life and has physically trained for years and years. He's gonna be low on adrenal, thyroids or testosterone. part of life. so even if he wasnt training he'd be doing it

This. He has looked suspicious, even when he was only 19 at the early UFC. And he was caught using... And he doesn't look bad nowadays either even though he isn't that young anymore...

They should. Most people get upset easily so it's tough to pull this off. We live in a country where kids who text while driving or drink while driving, even though there may be no injuries or accidents to speak of, they get in more trouble than kids who jump and beat the snot out of another kid, so if that doesn't expose our real priorities, not sure what does.

Usually I'm flying solo on this debate against wave after wave of irrational hatred. Its nice to have a co-pilot, welcome aboard.

So what does that mean for people who want to excel in academics but don't have the God given intelligence?
