*Video* Anderson Silva sparring. Boxing only

And I'd like to add after my original post...after seeing this, people really think Lombard's boxing is better than Silva's? Fucking lol.

Silva would make him look infantile.

More people should see this thread.

This just shows the difference between Anderson and the rest of MMA

He has real boxing when most just have small pieces. This gives him a ridiculous advantage combined with his already deadly Muay Thai and Seagal strikes.

He takes his skills seriously and makes the effort to hone them in and deploy them.
Anderson may have the best MMA mind out there.

This. I would say he has the best pure boxing in MMA. Scary considering his Muay Thai is also arguably the best.

Both of them use wayyyyy to much unnecessary movement. Silva just looked like he was trying to look pretty, I can't tell if he was trying hard or not. The white guy was pathetic.

Silva showed pretty good foot work in the first video though.

No knowledgeable fan thinks that. At least not any that are thinking objectively. Anderson is without a doubt the best striker the sport has ever seen and I just don't see how anyone can argue against that.

man... even washed up Jones Jr. would knock him out...

This is what sparring looks like from real boxers. And lets be honest Angulo isn't exactly know for his boxing and holloway has since lost twice and fell off anyones radar. The difference is night and day in skill level from the videos in the OP. I'm not trying to down anyone or anything, but people need to get it through their heads, that even Silva isn't that fantastic when it comes to boxing.

Easy there, killer. Nobody is clamoring for him to fight Ward, and surely no one would expect Silva to win. Most of us just appreciate watching such a skilled Muay Thai practitioner show adequate boxing as well. It would be like watching Mayweather land high kicks on Cruickshank. Not amazing at all but pretty cool to watch.

I'd say more like teaching /training boxing to a kid then sparring but none the less fun to watch and thanks for sharing

Maybe not you, but some people like to think Silva could go in and beat most boxers.

I'm glad you are not one of them. And I'm also pointing out how what you are seeing is nothing special or something to be clamored about.

Don't get me wrong, I think Silva could have had a decent career in boxing if he chose to go that route, but he wouldn't hold a major title.

Silva's boxing intimidates the hell out of his opponents so that's all that matters LOL

He dodges their punches and taps their jaws with invisible blow dropping them. He bounces around the ring with pure confidence like no other , drops his hands and dares people. At times he lets his opponents hit him just to prove he's not worried about their power, skill or technique in the most cockiest way.

He does all this will a full arsenal of Kicks, knee's reverse elbows, clinch work and other nasty things waiting to be un paused like a video game.
