VICE Sports Juiced Up - The Consequences of Steroids: SWOLE

Who likes bodybuilders? Talk about 0's in life. I can't say anything good about bodybuilders, what a total waste of your life. There's nothing special about bodybuilders, they lift weights all day. I don't see any ability or skill in it at all.

LMAO

I'd say it's as valid a thing to compete in as any other - be it MMA, Jeopardy, Chess, etc. It's certainly not for everyone, and it has become less popular as winning physique have shifted from Arnold and Frank Zane to dudes that barely have enough range of motion to dress themselves.

But I would say there is a good deal of knowledge, skill and dedication involved at the top levels, from diet to exercise to cutting and so on. And back in Arnold's day, there was also an artistic element.

It's definitely not universally appreciated. But they are the best at what they do, and it takes a lot of work to get to the top.

Edit: You got me, I don't really follow pro wrestling.

I rolled with Jake Shields. And I am much better looking and taller than him. Although he kick my ass easily. View attachment 428087

So did I. And Nick and Nate Diaz, at Pacific Coast Martial Arts. And I can post pics of me or my exes if you want to gauge how goodlooking you are compared to me, but I've already done that here many times. STOP trying to get out of lifting some simple weights bro, ffs can't you see what you are doing? You KNOW it'll make you feel better and you're just trying to find ways out of it because it's hard and you ARE lazy. STOP being a fruity millennial. DO IT and feel better about everything in your life. There is ZERO downside to this. Try it just 2 times and tell me I'm wrong. Go ahead, if I'm wrong I'll gladly eat crow.

Bro, I'm srs get off your couch and do this. Do it. You WILL thank me I give you my word of honor. That's a promise.

If you read up you will discover my initial post was a bret hart quote. @Dusty Rhodes thanks for making it worth doing,

I find the people who hate on them to be more inecure. There is also abuse. Zyzz abused too much never stopped did it year round. Cocktails of it. The aesthetic movement is filled with amazing looking bodies that are not gross or over developed. Those who died also abused. Zyzz also did other drugs.

For all you anti "steroid" people you might as well be anti performance enhancers.

Well said right when the joke is over an no one gives a shit.

It’s much worse than any of the above.

This is the strongest steroid available to my knowledge.

When I did 2 cycles I wanted to kill people and commit suicide.

This is the worst of the worst.

Well what are seid, skywalker, and sergeyevich, fitt, de bruyn all on? Some of those guys have addmitted to tren use.

There is clearly a smart way to do it and a not smart way.

You don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Benoit was on it.

I was taking Tri-tren as were my friend and others and it all had the same effect.

I enjoyed bodybuilding as a kid, its almost like art like you are sculpting your body, its hard to explain but I got bored of it, pushing each muscle to failure and resting like 3 or 4 days until it recovers got boring for me

I prefer doing full body workouts 3 times a week and jogging in between.

Bodybuilding workouts get boring, but what these guys dude is impressive they can shape their body and make each muscle grow like a statue.

Shawn ray had a classic physique and looked like a comic book super hero, its impressive if you think about how they can develop and shape each muscle through workouts. you gotta respect that hard work and dedication they put in with diet and training.

I used to scoff at bodybuilders because I thought they just wanted to look pretty but I realized how insanely hard they work. I can't not give them respect for that. Any scrawny dude who's trying to get jacked knows how fucking hard it is. The top guys are also pretty fucking strong. Still, those guys are fucking insane. Being in the gym for hours and hours to make a muscle look a certain way, is just something I don't get.

Dorian Yates used to spend 45 minutes 3-5 days a week to get to his size, but by god did he work HARD!

Some people are just naturally gifted and have a great work ethic and learned knowledge.

The greatest of all time.

Steroids are like plastic surgery. You get the freaks who overuse it to the point that it actually make themselves considerably less attractive, but then you have the people who aren't mentally ill, but are willing to take advantage, sensibly, and those people tend to appear pretty fuckable into their 60's.

There's no shortcut that outshines the basics. People who eat well, exercise moderately and consistently throughout their lives, sleep well, keep their stress levels low, don't do drugs legal or otherwise, manage their health (including dental), don't endure withering jobs that expose them to the elements, and perform the upkeep of grooming just flat out age better than everyone else. Genetics is huge, sure, but the tortoises win this marathon pretty much every time.

From what I understand, a lot of the female bodybuilders are "forced" to do sex work to supplement their incomes, whether escorting, doing fetish work/videos, or porn. One of them used to do porn with dudes even though she was a lesbian and wrote a memoir about it called Lesbian by Day, Porn Star by Night or some shit like that.

A lot? No way.

Many bikini, and figure bodybuilders make decent money at national and pro level. Lower levels though, it's a money pit, prize tables do not cover the expenses to do this hobby.

Prior GF used to compete I have never heard of anyone being forced into sex work. I believe that's not the case.

Probably like how most people don't get BJJ guys spending hours each day rolling around with other dudes pulling guard.
