Vic Mackey vs Tony Soprano

Still has the most shocking scene in tv history - the one involving Acaveda...

I still remember seeing that, and thinking "O....M.....G!!!!" And it was on FX!! Raw as fuck, that's the best way to describe The Shield.

Oh and I remember telling my friends mom how good the show was and that she should check it out. An episode came on that night and we started watching it, and the opening scene was some dudes broke into a couples home, tied the husband up and nailed his fucking feet to the floor, then raped and killed his wife in front of him. When the cops showed up and un-nailed his feet from the floor, he grabbed one of their guns and blew his brains out. THAT was her intro to The Shield

Strike team routinely takes down the hardest gangbangers in CA.

"We knock down the doors other cops don't want to."

That guy was fucking awesome in Django Unchained.

That guy is awesome in everything. Predators, the shield, django, and of course Justified. Boyd Crowder is one of the best characters on tv right now.

Tony had to much connections. The black cop got fired for giving him a speeding ticket. Vic would be unemployed in 2 mins if he looked at Tony wrong.

Man I don't think I've ever seen another character get out of so much trouble as Vic did. Trust me, if Tony tried to get him fired, Vic would find a way out of that shit. Then probably flip Tony's own informant against him.

You really think Paulie and crew could take on the Strike team in fighting? These are old guidos who get winded from a walk to the pizzeria. Strike team routinely takes down the hardest gangbangers in CA.

Thanks, saved me the trouble of posting this.:icon_chee

Again ALL resources, this isn't just a brawl but a war. Tony by money and power. In a fight Vics crew loses a few but comes out on top, in a war Tony wins.

Idk man,

plus being cops, means that Vic and the strike team would do alright

Ya but Tony has the governor(mayor whatever it was) and all that on his side, plus he can call in reinforcements from Italy or other families. Could get ugly either way, both are GREAT shows.

Fair enough, it would definitely not be easy for either side. And yeah both shows are great. Too tough to pick a favorite, really.

So whoever won this clusterfuck?

I'm guessing Vic won. I'm also guessing he'd piss on any other badass tv character in history. And that's saying a lot.

From what I've seen, I'd probably give the win to Vic.

But this guys wipes them both out in a week.

Tony wins this, Tony had the New York mob back off. He would probably call in a couple of Neapolitans to kill Mackey. And I think people underestimate how smart and strategical Tony is. Also I think Tony has smarter people around him, like Silvio, Hesh, johnny sack. And Mackey is surrounded with footsoldiers who do as he says.

The Sopranos was maybe the more artistically worthwhile show but I liked The Shield a lot more.

Vic Mackey would kill Tony Soprano in a one on one fight and probably end The Sopranos in a war. Too many resources, a complete lack of morals, more skilled and would go to far greater lengths to win.
