Why is this thread's existence hanging by a thread? It would appear that the mods just received the validation for having left the thread up in the first place.

"The Times" has basically just confirmed that the leaked RTE document naming the "suspect" is legit. RTE themselves notified the DPC that there has been a data breach in regard to the leaked memo - as they were required to do by law.

I think this method is the best way to walk that tight-rope. It's the posters who will muck this thread up not the mods, so let's try and be responsible. Cause after reviewing all the information i think there might very well be substance to this.

If we want to know if the leaked RTE memo is real, we need someone who knows the law to say whether they would have to report the incident whether it was real or otherwise. I know it may sound like common sense that they wouldn't, but the law isn't that straight forward
