Valentina exposed?

I've always been interested to see if anybody could Wall n stall / Lay n pray Valentina to a decision victory after I saw Julianna Pena have some success with it.

As always, Suarez comes to mind as one of the rare actually good wrestlers in the division. But she is still injured and because of her injury she has missed out on a lot of experience she would need because she is still very raw as well

Exposed? She lost one round resulting from a failed trip attempt and even then she was never in trouble. She dominated all the rest of the fight on all aspects.

Maybe you should give up on MMA?

Pulling a snoozeman means 25 minutes of domination where opponent can't do nothing... And since Valentina dominated Maia by grappling for almost whole fight, that obviously wasn't the case.
 
what exactly was exposed can I ask? she's way more experienced fighter than rest of girls, and using it as advantage, there's maybe nothing brillant about her, but thats it, enough to dominate weak wmma division. It's also obvious since day 1, that someone with decent clinch, good groundgame and more strenght will be big problem for her. Maia is only decent grappler because of BJJ and maybe slightly stronger. Not enough.

Maia is a fucking tank and strong as hell. Pair that up with a bjj black belt and you have someone who will give anyone problems.

Having said that, she got her ass tore up.

If she was truly as great as her fanboys claim to be while she would easily crush her competition but she struggled against some random female can in a fight she was a massive favorite.

Nunes & Weili easily are way better fighters than her, at least they fight actual top competition.

You are aware she arguably beat Nunes? And already beat a few top fighters at 135.

The sisters have been shooting since they were 12 years old IIRC. They enter shooting comps regularly and she has her own custom gun.
 
She was exposed since her first defeat by Nunes, but the thing here is there's no one with enough wrestling experience and skill to take her down; Suarez is probably out due to her neck so there's no one who can actually be a threat in the wrestling part. 125 is just pure fodder for Valentina unless there's a girl with great wrestling and we all know there's very little talent with that skill.

Eh. She seemed hesitant and Maia team had clearly devised a very specific gameplan to beat Schev.
I also think Schev had a bad gameplan.
Not her best night but definitely not exposed.
