Valentina lost one round, and likely wouldn’t have lost that either if not for the poor takedown she attempted. Other than those 4 minutes, Maia had nothing and did nothing to Valentina. After the post fight surgery talk, I wonder if Valentina was a bit gun shy with her kicking, hence the grappling heavy strategy.
