Vadim Nemkov pay vs Glover pay

Lol you're not too bright. Glover made the same amount of money in double the fights.

Corey Anderson said he made more off sponsors in one fight than he did in his whole UFC career. Mitirione has said similar things and so has Gegard Mousasi and these fights weren't on CBS and werent watched by 5M people.

Youre not to business savy so Ill explain: The sponsor money that the main card fighters on this February CBS card will make won't reflect their fame, it will reflect the scale of the platform and event. CBS is the most watched network in America and this will be a primetime event and the fighters on the main card will be paid very well by sponsors.

This is why the UFC caught a lot of criticisms from their fighters when they decided to cut sponsors and sign that absurd reebok deal. Michael Bisping had a rant about this.

This model works for Bellator because their fighters get paid more without that money coming out of Bellators picket.

You hear differing reports on this. Myles Jury was disappointed because he thought it would be a sponsorship gravy train but only got $8k in sponsorships for headlining against Henderson.

Social media has changed the sponsorship game, companies aren't going to to pay that much to have their name on your shorts when they can pay to have someone make a specific product post to their followers.

cuz he won the tourney

his previous fight he had 80/80 - as a champion
Don’t let actual facts get in the way of somebody hating on the UFC. Half of the people on these boards are dishonest to the core.

Pat Cummins was your wrestling coach? That's pretty cool.
Yeah he was an assistant for me for a little bit when I was at Cal Poly -- really neat guy. He was very close to one of my best friends in college as well before coaching with us for a few months. The guy was quite the specimen.

Ur ignoring all the other pay glover made, if that's the case. U gotta compare apples to apples
I agree with that for sure -- the disclosed pay is only part of the whole picture

They're all bums compared to Kayla, assuming she wins next week then she made at least $3mil this year.
God she's the worst too, might be worse than Ronda just doesn't have the same exposure level.

He doesn’t have any

because pay is non disclosed and Nemkov only got that much because he won the tournament
People don't seem to get there are plenty of places you're not obligated to disclose your entire purse publicly. Or can even tell them how much you're willing to disclose, or not disclose any at all. And just like every day you, me, or some other guy it's nobodies business what we make a year and don't really want people knowing. Fighters are just like us, they don't want people knowing what they make(most of them anyways). Josh Thomson even went over this on the weighing in podcast like early this year I think about how there was plenty of times he was asked what he wanted to disclose, and would never disclose his entire purse. Disclosed pay reports you can almost guarantee are not accurate.

300-500 dollars from Bellator
{<jordan}
some topics on sherdog just scream retard
comparing bellator pay to ufc
{<jordan}
i mean guys that usually post this stuff don't even believe on what they just said, yeah bellator paid half of their budget to a tourny winner so this guy can post it, then they go compare that to lowest CALCULATED UNOFFICIAL pay of some ufc champion to say : UFC BAD
{<jordan}
didn't they pay pitbull 150k ? maybe my source is bs whatever
then you see something like this GANE : "when asked how much he earned for his recent win over Tuivasa. "I don't know the exact number. If you ask me, I pretty much know. Since I'm not champion, I'm downgrading a bit. It's between two and three million I think."
at the end, having 95% of talents in 1 place shows who pays better

We know Dana likes to keep his fighters hungry. Sometimes literally hungry. Otherwise they go and destroy their lives catching STDs from hookes on a yacht and doing drugs.

Vadim Nemkov is 30 years old, he has a record of 16-2, hes been fighting for 9 years and in his last fight he made 1.3M in Bellator. He's the LHW Champion of Bellator.

Glover Texeira is 43 years old, he has a record of 33-8, he's been fighting for 20 years and he makes 120k per fight in the UFC and was recently the UFC LHW champion.

Glover Texeira has never made a million dollars for one fight in the UFC. Hes made 2.7M for 22 fights, averaging 120k per fight at a company that's 10x bigger than Bellator with 10x the resources of Bellator.

This is disrespectful to a fighter like Glover Texeira who is an all time great and UFC champion.

UFC stands for U FIGHT CHEAP

How many PPVs did his fight with Jiri sell? He would have had a PPV cut.

Accord to this, he made 230k for beating Anthony smith, not counting the 50k bonus and 21k Sponsor check, meaning he made 301k. Much more than you claim.

Glover made 2.7M in the UFC in 22 fights. This is confirmed. That's an average of 120k per fight.

Vadim Nemkov had made over 2M in Bellator in 9 fights and is about to make close to another million in two months when he defends his title against Romero on CBS. He will get 300k guaranteed + sponsor money which will be big on CBS. Let's say he makes 700K thats almost 3M in 10 fights in bellator which close to the average of 300k per fight which is more than double of what Glover averages.

Confirmed by who? This says 3.157 mil and only goes up to the Jan fight.

Who cares?

Fighters leave the UFC and then become irrelevant with the exception of a handful.

I'm all for UFC fighters testing free agency and doing their best to negotiate a better deal with UFC, but I'm so sick of the bitching and moaning that fighter pay sucks. It is above the US average and is big money for a lot of foreign fighters.

Hate teh UFC pay, but isn’t the 1 million the prize for winning the Bellator lhw tournament?

I mean does it really matter how he made the $1m?

Its not like UFC does tourney's with $1m prize pools

To a certain degree it does. I mean, you gotta fight three times to win the 1 million prize. Any UFC top 5 lhw can make 1 million or even more fighting three times.
Oh and while we are at it, the UFC pay sucks.

No bro, the only money that counts is 'backroom bonus' money that we 100% objectively know doesn't exist (beyond some extremely rare exceptions) because we have access to years worth of the UFC's detailed fighter pay information from extensive court documents.

Actual, real, verifiable money that you earn in a tournament doesn't count.

Luckily Nemkov won't have to pay taxes on his real money though while UFC fighters are constantly being chased by the IRS to pay some unicorn tears to cover for the leprechaun gold they made in a 'backroom' somewhere.

And if you don't win the tourney, and have not made your name in the UFC before being signed to Bellator, you are making a 6 pack of beer to show and a flat if you win

I think there's a backroom/under the table component that makes UFC fighters get a little more than their disclosed pay, there's no way the best guys would jump at the chance to go there if the pay was that poor long-term. Glover got a huge backroom bonus probably for that fight of the year he had with Jiri. I don't condone this sort of pay structure by the way, it's very slimy and subjective, Dana White is doing some unethical, possibly illegal stuff in deciding how much people earn based on how entertaining fights are, but it is what it is.

False but nice try

Julia Budd $350,000
Darrion Caldwell $125,000
Adam Borics $100,000
Juan Archuleta $100,000
Aaron Pico $100,000
Neiman Gracie: $100,000

etc etc

Are these ex-UFC guys? Huh?

The thread is a bit disingenuous.

1) Nemkov got a once off $1 million payment for the tourney. That's not his standard pay.

2) UFC LHW champ gets PPV points. This is significantly higher than contracted disclosed pay. For example, McGregor gets $1 million contract but earns $15-20 million a fight
