Vadim Nemkov pay vs Glover pay

Tournament winnings are still relevant. If the UFC had 1 million dollar GP then it would make sense to exclude them, but considering that that option exist in Bellator it does obviously make a difference in their earnings.

You made me double check my source but yeah, really weird. He had 175/75 in the fight you mention.

A couple of fights before that he had 100k flat with no win bonus if the source I found on that is accurate.

Tough to find salaries for many of the Bellator events unfortunately.

Could be he has some sort of disclaimer in the contract if the fight ends up a NC? But seems ridiculous
 
I'm a Glover fan, but I wouldn't consider him am all time great.

Lol I'm not judging them haha I just don't see why it would matter if the money is from winning a tournament haha It's more or less the same as winning a UFC belt; just happens to be in tournament format. I'm glad to see Nemkov getting paid though. I have a few buddies that fight or have fought for Bellator on the lower cards -- they have generally had a solid experience.

When Glover was fighting back in the day, even Jon Jones wasn't getting paid millions and millions. The sport has evolved. You are just picking and choosing your "fighter pay" battles poorly.

Lol you're not too bright. Glover made the same amount of money in double the fights.

Corey Anderson said he made more off sponsors in one fight than he did in his whole UFC career. Mitirione has said similar things and so has Gegard Mousasi and these fights weren't on CBS and werent watched by 5M people.

Youre not to business savy so Ill explain: The sponsor money that the main card fighters on this February CBS card will make won't reflect their fame, it will reflect the scale of the platform and event. CBS is the most watched network in America and this will be a primetime event and the fighters on the main card will be paid very well by sponsors.

This is why the UFC caught a lot of criticisms from their fighters when they decided to cut sponsors and sign that absurd reebok deal. Michael Bisping had a rant about this.

This model works for Bellator because their fighters get paid more without that money coming out of Bellators picket.

Nemkov has been making 300k a fight since he bacame the champion (without sponsors) so it's safe to say he already made more than a million in Bellator before his last fight where he made 1.3M. That's roughly 2.3- 2.5 million he made in 9 fights in Bellator and he is fighting again in 2 months to defend his title against Romero in the comain event of Fedor vs Bader on CBS where he will make another 300k + sponsor money so its safe to say that after his 10th fight in Bellator he will have made close to or just under 3M.

That's more than Glover made in 22 fights in the UFC lol

It's because you're then comparing disclosed pay vs pay + prize money. A more apt comparison would be whatever Glover made in ppv points vs Nemkov's prize money, but we don't have access to that figure.

UFC does screw its fighters in terms of pay but they're more than able to match or surpass whatever Bellator can muster up for their top guys if they chose to. That's the crux of the matter though, they're equally as willing to let guys go if they don't feel they're worth the money.

Best LHW outside of the UFC with a very real claim to a top 3, if not top 1 spot. Just outclassed Corey Anderson and he's got wins over Bader and Davis x2 to name a few.

Had a very good fight with Jiri back when he was a newbie in Rizin.
