Usyk lacked a punch at cruiser weight.

Really?

Usyk is a much better boxer.....Parker isn't going to pressure him in the way he'd need imo
i don't think usyk is really a better boxer, parker moves really well for such a big fighter, parker's problems seem to be mostly psychological and strategical. he seems to give up on himself a bit if he can't land his right (the opposite of wilder). i also think he tries to fight like a lighter fighter too much (he tries to rely on head and foot movement a bit too much, when he should be fighting from behind more of a guard and punching more) i actually think parker is just about the worst possible match for usyk at heavyweight apart from ruiz.

also don't underestimate parker's power, just because he isn't finishing people. watch how quickly he dropped whyte when he actually started trying in the final round. he also had joshua extremely cautious in their fight. people like to downplay the joshua fight, but the truth is they made each other look bad for different reasons.

i've been saying all along his performance answered no questions about his HW stint, because witherspoon has no qualities to challenge usyk with.

but usyk won all 7 rounds and finished the fight. he was never hurt, he was never in danger. he controlled the fight bell to bell and put a beating on his opponent. if people expected him to blitz witherspoon, that's their problem. i don't think usyk's ever walked anyone down and knocked them out early in a fight. that's not how he fights, and everyone criticising him for it now makes no sense whatsoever.
This. All true. BUT certain people who want to slate Usyk just make out that it's a bad showing when he didn't blitz Witherspoon when the truth is he boxed the same as he always does. It would have been very strange if he had blitzed Witherspoon. That's just not Usyk and anyone pretending otherwise DKSAB.
