Your right Loma is still a dead ordinary counter puncher. But he actually threw one whole counter punch in the Campbell fight, so I'll let him of for a bit. His fans are still nob heads that wouldn't know pro boxing from a kick in the pants though. and usyk severely lacks punch at heavyweight.
 
Lomachenko would clearly lack punching power at HW.

One thing I've learned about this forum is that there are some people here who get oddly emotional about certain fighters, especially blue eyed west asian/east euro fighters.

I can't understand a word he says but I'm sure of it! that smile!" *swoon* "I will defend him as though he were my mom and make up a cute nickname that me and my pals will call him to signal our solidarity to others! He would easily beat Prime Holyfield and Tyson on the same night!"

Beats prime Holyfield, easily. Holyfield lost to Valuev, remember. He can't beat guys from that part of the world.

I figured if Witherspoon's cardio held up (which, I wasn't surprised it didn't given the fact that he took this fight a few days ago and isn't active) the fight was probably going the distance. I thought Usyk would've stopped Spong however.
 
Usyk is really good but he wasn't that powerful at CW and will have a hard time hurting most of the guys at HW.

even you were at least somewhat surprised. even a non power guy that weights 215lbs should be able to knockout a guy that just got off the couch, like Usyk or not he's an olmypian with boxing skills
and power wasn't the only thing he lacked that night. he didnt even put them together well half of the time.

LIke I said Usyk is just a slightly more skilled heavyweight adamek. someone who can bring out crowds and have okay fights but is going to lack power big time. but heavyweight adamek would have knocked witherspoon out at least when he first moved up to heavy
 
No, Usyk is tehically really good stuff. Enough mobile even for top of CW.

Too light for HW I think. If I was him, I didn't agreed for HW. Money he already had, popularity in boxing world too.
There far better is to be at least 250 lbs and with reach better than his reach.

Not sure people are surprised tbh. Usyk will have to outbox and possibly make the big guys tire. He wasn’t a puncher at CW, unlike say David haye

People that said fury needed to be perfect for 12 rounds to beat wilder were well wide of the mark. Usyk really will have to be perfect because he’s not going to be able to take that power.

I can’t wait to see him in with the best fighters in the division though. It’s a fckin tall order, but an incredible feat if he can do it. And he’s not looking at fighting weak champions like others have done in the past. Fair fckin play to that man; just hope it doesn’t go horribly wrong
 
You don't muscle up in boxing and maintain your punch. Old school trainers hated muscle bound fighters.
