Why is it amusing that a foreign policy expert with decades of experience in Asian relations would be recommended for an ambassadorship in Asia? That makes no sense.

I did laugh out loud at that visual.

More generally, I am finding it harder and harder to understand the views of the vocal anti-Trump crowd these days. I am making a genuine effort to understand but it's just not happening very often.

I meant the being a desirable asset who appears to be a respected person, but also doesn’t draw too much attention or set off too many red flags.

The "humor" of Griffin's tweet still makes no sense. Foreign policy expert gets recommended for a foreign policy job. He also happens to be an FBI informant. Hilarious!??

I don't think he was trying to be funny, just sharing a recent development on a newly relevant character in one of the most interesting news stories of our lifetimes.

Joe thought it was funny.
