Yes and no. There are mass graves out there, but the people in them died from disease, and not by CaNazi bullets. The Natives still have legit beef over being put through that system, but the whole "Every school was just executing all the Native children, and throwing them away like garbage", like the narrative is trying to paint, is bunk.

I found the ridiculously biased National Post article you are using as the basis for this. As usual, you find a way to be a piece of shit on the topic of human suffering.

They essentially try to paint the neglect, malnutrition, and abuse that led to these children's deaths as somehow not being as bad as the other sorts of mistreatment the people running residential schools are known to have perpetrated as well on these poor kids. A reasonable point would be that this country absolutely is not prepared to discuss that it wholeheartedly bought into absolute nonsense in the form of fabrication and obfuscation in regards to this entire story.

All of our media is aware of it, which is why they have almost entirely walked back sure language and replaced it with “supposed” and other such indeterminate phrasing, but none of that matters of no one is saying anything.

National monuments were destroyed over this, people’s communities were severely damaged, crimes were committed and have gone effectively un-investigated. And worse than all of that, in the minds of the vast majority of people, this is all still “true”.

That makes everything here worse. It poisons the minds of our people and has a terrible effect on relations between this country’s people.

I did use Google to quickly research the topic after reading the New York Post article Mr. Holmes linked to. I'm not trying to be facetious. I'm genuinely incredulous that not one human remain was located in two years time considering the brutal treatment many children, especially defiant ones, received in Canada's resident school system.

Imagine a situation where it’s discovered that hundreds (thousands?) of secret childrens graves have been hidden in a handful of clusters around the country, just waiting to be unearthed. The organizations that oversaw this secret disposal of bodies generally still exist, and many of them were still active in living memory, meaning some of those INVOLVED in these mass murders and burials are still alive.

And there’s absolutely ZERO police involvement. None. No investigation. No forensic teams, no detectives, not even serious excavation. And this isn’t caused by conspiracy to hide the evidence, the entire nation’s populace is made aware and extremely interested. And it’s not caused by doubt. Every public and private entity and leave of government is organized in total belief that these mass secret graves of murdered children really DO exist and that we know exactly where they are and who is responsible.


Of course we know now that some of these sites absolutely have bodies, they’re the known but no longer maintained graveyards connected to local churches, which contain the bodies of people from oftentimes generations of that former community. And some of them absolutely don’t, as they’re remnants of apple orchards and the like. Some of them very well might have graves of children who died at these schools.

What none of them have are hidden hordes of hundreds of murdered children.

At one point it was claimed that a part of a human jawbone had been found at one site, but the last I’d heard is that this claim couldn’t be corroborated and there was no knowledge of it’s whereabouts and no contact with the claimant.


Now of course to try and start the discussion on how we nationally lost our minds and bought into this hoax (intentionally contrived and spread or organically created and distributed) we end up with this extremely odd mix of attack (“genocide denier!”), defence (“why do you need evidence and doubt the word of Indigenous Community Knowledge?”) and historical gibberish (“Residential schools were bad and thus secret organized mass child murder happened”), and that’s as far as any discussion can get.

Out of curiosity, has a single one of these mass graves ended up being real, in the sense that it reveals the systematic murder of children that was the original framing? Or in any other sense? I still see sober articles talking about the mass graves of children popping up, but it's tough to wade through them - they're usually a cobble together of tribal elders recounting memories from childhood, of talking about what the PM said with a serious tone and a stern face while on his knees, or what some researcher said might be indicated by some radar, and not a "we found the bodies here, on this day, and there were this many" - to figure out if there have actually been bodies found. I've seen several articles where it has been revealed that expected sites ended up not being what they were said to be that got everyone in an uproar about it, but not smoking-gun articles as of yet.

You might downplay this and feel good about yourself for doing so, but based on the claims of historic abuses, we have had a lot of contemporary abuses come to be. Isn't it important to know if they hysteria was based on an accurate accounting of the circumstances? Have any of these mass graves ended up being what they were said to be? Seriously, has this been a complete hoax from the beginning? If so, does anyone who bought in from the start feel at all bad for the damage done over it? Will you be a bit more reticent to jump on the bandwagon with these "I'm on the right side of history!" stories in the future, your eyes wet with tears while you sharpen your pitchforks and - literally, in the case of dozens of burnt churches - light your torches, ready to seek "justice"?

I think western culture in general would be fundamentally different if certain circumstances in the US were different. Give the US our racial demographics with asians outperforming whites and there wouldn't be anywhere near as much discussion about white supremacy holding racial minorities back professionally.
