Signings/Scouting Unsigned Heavyweights, v.4

Dontale Mayes was dominating his fight against Freddy Fredenburg but got DQ'd for an elbow to the back of the head (similar to Tom Aspinall's DQ). Which sucks as i needed all the young heavyweights i could get for my unbeaten prospect list this year, and just lost a decent prospect!

Not sure it will be decided by the time you release your list, but the commission will need to review that call on Dontale's fight. Should be an NC.

wasn't listed previously, but MFP has better erokhin versus geronimo dos santos in a few hours

can't see result for bhullar fight on hard rock fights twitter, really confusing.

edit: bhullar fight was cancelled

Wonder why Arjan's fight was cancelled, they weighed in and everything. So weird.

Also, big upset, but Erokhin lost to Geronimo Dos Santos by Unanimous Decision. Hopefully he realizes he needs to be at 205 after that.

erokhin mondragon fight

Kurban Ibragimov improved to 7-2 with an UD win over Polekhin, but it was an ugly fight, Ibragimov is also small for hw.

Erokhin looks like he could be fighting at Middleweight if he trimmed up. He's carrying a bit of a gut

Tanner bosser vs pat Walsh this Saturday in Canada

That's a bummer, but it was bound to happen going up against guys that much bigger than him.

Walsh can be quite the grinder at, rooting for Bosser but it won't be easy for him!

I can't believe Bellator cut Tony Johnson. He has a solid resume. I wonder if UFC would pick him up with another win or two. He has wins over two UFC Heavyweights now (Derrick Lewis and Alexander Volkov). He's not the most exciting fighter but he could definitely beat the Chris De La Rochas of the world.

he seems to fit into wsof's current heavy weights too

speaking of, so many belts all over the place, desert force even has 2 LHW belts for some reason too, lots of ama and pro stuff cleaning up, i guess all those tourneys

Chris Larsen 1-0 vs. Josh Heinz 3-1
Ryo Sakai 5-6 vs. Shoma Shibisai 3-1

Man, Tanner's had so many opponent changes. I think he's got this one easily though. He should get a UFC call up after this one I imagine.

Agaev and Kirill, hoping Kirill takes it since he's fresh blood for Pavlovich.

I think Stosic gets the decision over Staring. His youth and athleticism will top Staring's experience.

And then the big one... I'm going with Goltsov by submission. Rasulov is a really good striker, and I think that while Goltsov can stand with him, he'll likely get it to the ground and sub him in the early rounds.

Goltsov wins an UD against Rasulov to take the ACB HW title.

Really solid performance by Goltsov, showed that he can stick to his gameplan and stayed sharp thorough the fight. Only mistakes he made was that he backed up in a straight line to the cage once Rasulov started throwing. Some weird scores too, didn't hear them properly, but I'm sure the judges gave Rasulov a couple of rounds. He didn't win any imo.

Apparently Heath Herring will be fighting for Rizin at New Years. This will be his first fight since losing to Brock Lesnar in 2008.
