Signings/Scouting Unsigned Heavyweights, v.4

Amir did amazing for a guy with 2 fights, amateur and pro, and only a year MMA experience. Not many guys in the world who can step in with that little training and do what he did.

Caio alencar just defeated rosholt!!! 1st rd Tko
That's a crazy upset. They can either have him as the next contender at HW after Ivanov vs Jordan, or have him at LHW as a contender.

I agree with the Hw situation I don't see him dropping to lhw he is a big guy

I'd like to see them do Caio vs Justin Willis for the contender spot. Willis is a bit underrated.

I agree also josh Copeland did a great job in his title fight los so to ivanov

I've been out of the loop a bit guys... Just checking a few Sherdogs and saw that Evgeny Erokhin and GDS fought... Looks like Erokhins small stature finally came back to haunt him, quite a big upset... I think we'll probably see a rematch later this year.

Two Heavyweight fights headlining the Fight Hard MMA card this weekend in Missouri. Also another HW fight on the card. Main event is Steve Rustemeyer (2-1) vs. Kyle Noblitt (4-0) and co-main is Max McNeeley (1-0, 9-4 Am) vs. Michael Wright (0-0, 0-2 Am). The final HW fight is the pro debuts of Christopher Gideon (0-0, 5-0 Am) vs. Galen Livingston (0-0, 5-1). Pretty crazy to see 3 pro Heavyweight fights on a regional card, albeit most of these guys look like they can make Light Heavyweight.

That's a really cool card, I'll be keeping a close eye on it for sure.

Titan FC 43 Volkan Oezdemir vs. Muhammad DeReese for vacant heavyweight title

Madmen Promotions in Jackson, Michigan on January 28th, Josh Parisian (4-1) will take on Ray Lopez (9-9) in the main event. The co-main event will be Destin Allen (0-1) vs. John Price (0-0). Parisian is coming off a huge win over Bellator veteran Josh Burns in his last fight. He's been training at Scorpion Fighting System in Brighton, Michigan and has really taken his game to the next level there. Lopez was last seen in a 2015 win over Derrick Weaver but hasn't fared well against most of the tougher competition in his career. Either Parisian becomes a solid Heavyweight prospect or Lopez proves himself more than just a journeyman. Allen was last seen in a 2014 1st round TKO loss to Parisian which was his pro debut. He took some time off from MMA but seems to be taking his training seriously. I don't know anything about Price.

James Mulheron to rematch Ruben Wolf, which is Mulheron's only defeat so far. I believe it's in February in m4tc.
