Not sure if it got mentioned, but i didnt know about it.... 2 weeks ago huggy bear Chris Barnett won a split decision over Frank Tate (4-2). Tapology says the fight was contested at 265lbs but i can;t see that being true.

Vera killed Shrek too.

Wonder who One will give him next, don't think they have any HW's left besides the brazilian that choked out Ngalani.

Arjan bhullar is fighting again, on dec. 9th

no ex-belltor fighter like he hoped for, his opponent has lost their last 2. Leroy Johnson out of michican 6-2

suposedly we can find the fight on fightnetwork in canada

Love Arjan, Leroy's strength is his wrestling, and Arjan is worlds above him in that. I think Arjan gets the G&P stoppage or the decision.

James Mulheron won via 2nd rd TKO & Phil De Fries won via 1st rd TKO.

Mulheron should get a BAMMA title shot next, definitely Aspinall or Wolf. De Fries has a bit to go to work his way back up, hopefully he fixes his striking defense.

so unsigned counts what? I have so many russians but they are always tricky because of russia orgs

because good erokihin, goltsov, pavlovich, (on the MW game, emeev is god), mineev, mokhnatkin, umiev and saidaliev

big one for upcoming fights is goltsov fights rasulov which unifies a bunch of russia stuff, and puts goltsov joining EFN the formation of most legit HW division outside the UFC in EFN

Any heavyweight outside of UFC and Bellator who hasn't been signed to either organization in the past, also includes Pride and Strikeforce. Basically, unsigned by a worldwide top promotion.

Denis Smoldarev(12-2) signed with ACB promotion. Looks like M-1 hw division has collapsed.

M-1 had arguably the second best HW division next to the UFC for awhile. Sad to see it basically dismantled. I think they still have Ante Delija though, but who knows when he's going to fight. I'd like to see Smoldarev fight Andryszak, the winner gets the winner of Goltsov vs Rasulov.

Highly doubt it. Tate probably made 265, but Huggy Bear basically wrecked his career by coming in out of shape and overweight. I can't see that changing anytime soon.

Vera killed Shrek too.

That's who I think they'll give him, but they should be working on guys like Dmitry Poberezhets or Denis Stojnic, fighters with win streaks who will give Vera a bit more of a fight.

Eli Strong (7-2) defended his XFO Amateur Heavyweight Title tonight with a 2nd round TKO over Jason Belyew. This is his 4th TKO win in his last 5 fights (5-0 on the year).

Fernando Rodrigues beats Karol Bedorf via (T)KO in the second round. Stops his 8-fight winning streak.

Wonder what they'll do with him, probably an instant rematch or a fight with the guy that choked Wlodarek out a couple of months ago.

Man, from losing to Oli Thompson to beating Yosef, then looking like a killer against Bedorf. He looked great standing and his cardio kept up this time. Not sure what Bedorf's gameplan was, he threw some lazy strikes and then clinched and then got TKO'd. His takedowns were terrible, which should have been his path to victory, putting Rodrigues on his back.

I'll say they will do a rematch. I hope Bedorf goes back to the drawing board for that, because he was not doing anything he needed to do.

I sometimes worry about those massively incomplete cards online, as in sherdog/tapology have 1 or 0 fights for an event

Josh Parisian (4-1) is fighting Ray Lopez (9-9) for the Madmen MMA Heavyweight Title on January 28th. Parisian is on a 3 fight win streak and is coming off a 2nd round TKO over Bellator vet Josh Burns. This is Lopez's first fight since late 2015 when he was able to submit Derrick Weaver with Strikes. Josh has been training at Scorpion Fighting System in Brighton, MI with some really solid fighters like Amanda Bobby Cooper, James Gray, Josh Visel, Taylor Moore (also recently brought Nova Uniao prospect Ronaldo Candido stateside to train with them long term) and has greatly improved in his time there. Lopez has been fighting a long time and he's only 29. He's fought a ton of solid Heavyweights and Light Heavyweights like Andrei Arlovski, John Hawk, Maxim Grishin, and Chad Herrick. If Josh keeps improving I could see him getting picked up by a LFA or Titan.

Sosnovskiy will finally be able to make his long awaited UFC debut when he faces Justin Ledet at UFC Fight Night: Korean Zombie vs Dennis Bermudez.

That's a pretty damn good fight between HW prospects, really torn with this one. Leaning towards Ledet winning an UD via 1-2's and opportunistic takedowns. Dmitry could crack him though. Something I just noticed with his record is that, besides Aleks, he really hasn't fought any credible opposition.

Blaydes/Milstead is also happening, think Curtis gets it done here.

This weekend in Pro midleague mma

Denis Polekhin 2-2 vs. Kurban Ibragimov 6-2
Tony Lopez 45-24 vs. Andenilson Clementino 6-4
Arjan Bhullar 5-0 vs. Leroy Johnson 6-2
Siala Siliga 10-5 vs. Carlos Toyota 8-8-1
Yosef Ali Mohammad 6-3 vs. Evgeniy Bova 7-6
Daniel Moraleida 5-0 vs. Alan Bispo 4-0
Dan Spohn 13-5 vs. Jeff Hughes 6-0

lots of 0 out there, i like it

also looking through this atwan phillips should be watched for if he ever makes his pro debut

EFN should have some heavyweight but fullcard isn't up, (same with plenty of others)

i guess sufarov went LHW, so many great prospects that are LHW fighting at HW, goltsov etc

Two excellent fights. I think Sosnovskiy's aggression wins him a TKO and Blaydes/Milstead is damn hard to call given a) Curtis' lack of striking defence and b) Milstead's athleticism. But given how many times C DLR clocked Adam, I'll take Blayds!

Got my eye on Bhullar and Hughes, a win for either could see a UFC callup

Last minute Heavyweight matchup announced. UFC vet Razak al-Hassan (12-6) takes on Jett Jones (2-8) in the co-main event at KCFA 21 in Independence, MO this Friday. Talk about a random fight and a mismatch.

Sosnovskiy excels on the ground, so if he gets Ledet down he'll do some damage. Question is how good is Ledet's wrestling, he's focused almost entirely on boxing.

I love Adam, he's one of my prospect list guys too, but Curtis is doing things at a higher level right now, both training and his natural ability, so that will end with Curtis getting his second win.

Hughes and Bhullar could be getting shots coming off wins here as was stated above. I think Bhullar will win easily, Hughes will have a tough time since Spohn is actually pretty decent. Mighty Mo's fight will be fun too, he's had a good run for a guy his age in RoadFC.

Weird fight for sure.

wasn't listed previously, but MFP has better erokhin versus geronimo dos santos in a few hours

can't see result for bhullar fight on hard rock fights twitter, really confusing.

edit: bhullar fight was cancelled

Dontale Mayes was dominating his fight against Freddy Fredenburg but got DQ'd for an elbow to the back of the head (similar to Tom Aspinall's DQ). Which sucks as i needed all the young heavyweights i could get for my unbeaten prospect list this year, and just lost a decent prospect!
