Unsigned Heavyweights - Thread Three

Nick Gaston is out of his fight tonight. No word on why the fight was cancelled.

Disappointed, but also not shocked.

I keep falling for the hype damn it! Anyone know how old he is?

Godbeer Vs Wolf BAMMA 23 - Soon to be confirmed. Looking forward to this one in a big way.

Perfect matchup. It makes sense since Wolf beat the #1 ranked guy in the UK, so he should be the one to fight Godbeer at this point.

Bring in Mulheron and have him fight Thomas Denham, or maybe even Rob Broughton since he's back too. Winner gets the next shot.

The Pavlovich fight is going to be great, he's one of the few heavyweights at 3-0 who could walk into the UFC and compete right away in my opinion.

Cash vs Stolyarov is going to be sloppy but probably a guaranteed finish.

Junior Albini drops to LHW and has been removed from the mentions. That leaves Fernando Rodrigues as the last heavyweight from Brazil to grace the list.

I find it odd that after JDS, Brazil hasn't kept up producing top heavyweight prospects. They were always traditionally one of the top two countries for heavyweights, and after JDS they seemed to have been replaced by Russia and Eastern Europe.

Looks like Justin Wren is about to sign with major organization.

Interesting, wonder how he'll look after 5 years off. Wren is a truly inspirational human being though, so I can only wish him the best in whatever he does.

What do you like in the heavyweight fight on the UFC Scottland Card? De la Rocha have any potential?

Love a bit of Justin Wren in and outside the cage, can't wait to see what comes next for him.

Apologies, I missed this one. Basically what happened is what I expected. I criticized the UFC earlier in the thread for bringing in a 36 year old part time fighter over more established possibilities or prospects, and it turned out as expected.

I'm sure De La Rocha is a nice dude and everything, but the UFC has to stop doing disservice to inexperienced heavyweights by throwing them in the big leagues right away. I would have rather seen De La Rocha go through Legacy or RFA, and if he made it to a championship there, bring him in.

I actually disagree.... They need to bring in the lower level guys more often to build some of the heavies up.
