Rewatch Unpopular Opinion: Volk won the first fight.....Round 4 is the key

Islam was stalling on the back but it was Volk that was scoring the points with his punches. Volk clearly won round 4 so he should've won the split decision (Clearly had it 49-46 so that card still is 48-47 in Islam's favor). Islam was obvioulsy trying to rest in round 4 but Volk won 4 and then round 5.

Instead of working his way back to his feet like he should have or reversing position

The fight was very close. Two judges had it 48-47 Islam. They all had round 4 for Islam. Volk won round 4 so he won the fight. The judges aren't perect and they were wrong here.

Volk was the one landing punches. Islam was able to control the position but stalled. Volk landed more shots in the position and landed the harder punches as well. Round 4 was clearly Volk. It was a close fight but Volk should've gotten the decision.

Just rewatched it. Initially had it 3-2 for Islam but now it's 4-1. Islam landed the better shots and dominated the grappling. Volk made it competitive and came on strong the last minute but it wasn't enough.
