O is right in that Leites power is underrated. He does hit like a truck for the division. But I'm with Robbie in that A) Camozzi has shown to have much better than average chin. Doesn't get rocked easily and reacts well when he does get tagged And B) Leites looked slower than in the past and I think is going to have trouble figuring out range in this fight.

If Leites sub odds are really nice I might hedge a bit with that. I think if it goes to the cards as a mostly stand up fight Camozzi's business probably gets him the nod.

So pretty much Leites SUB / Camozzi DEC

worth noting that rony jason has never fought outside of brazil before...

Man I can't help but cringe every time I see someone say Leites is looking slower/worse/etc. He fought Mousasi lol. Those wicked jabs will do that to you.

I personally think camozzi is pretty awful - always have.

I would sig bet with someone that leites secures a takedown in this fight.

Camozzi is not the best fighter out there, but he is tough, durable, has a good fight IQ and continues to get better. The main thing is I think he will be bigger and much better cardio. If he can survive the early part of the fight, which i think he will, I believe he wears down Leites and the takedowns will becomes less and less of a threat. I could even see him trying to pull guard late in the fight. I would say this is far from a lock, but at +160 this is the best value on the card and the reason why i think so many people like camozzi. its just a bad match up for leites at this point in both of their careers.

Kawajiri flying in from japan and known to slow down fighting at altitude.

Jason slows down too and fighting at altitude. R3 props for both sound good.

I'm not that narrow minded. He's looked slow in the past two years. I said Leites has a clear way to win if he gets it to the ground (on top, he won't do anything off his back), but I think on the feet he doesn't do enough to win a decision and doesn't rock Camozzi.

You think Camozzi is awful based on what? Getting subbed on 2 days noticed by the #1 contender? He's a solid fighter, underrated and always has been. He's only 29.

When has he ever looked fast? Hes flat footed. But his boxing has definitely improved.

EDIT also think that claim is ridiculous when two fights ago vs Bisping was his best performance ever

He was on my bum list with Sam Alvey for quite some time

i really think the Camozzi/Leites fight is a fight im gonna avoid altogether, especially if Leites by Sub has a bad price.

Camozzi seems to always be in competitive fights. He doesn't often look dominant but he also doesn't often get dominated. I think Camozzi owning Vitor Miranda could be a turning point in his career. Camozzi is one of those pretty good all around MMA fighters that can make a tough fight for anyone even if he seems like a dog.

Looking at his record it is nothing to be embarrassed of. He has dropped a few split decisions and been subbed twice by Jacare.

He also lost a clear decision to Lorenz Larkin who is now a serious contender.

I like Camozzi in this match up as a dog and I think this fight could end ITD with either guy taking it.

Thales looked pretty bad against the barbarian, hurt in both rounds

Eww you think his fight vs Bisping was a good performance? Chasing Bisping for 5 rounds throwing telegraphed hooks and overhands?

It was definitely the best performance of his career lol which one is better? I'd need to rewatch to go over exactly what he did, but it was a close fight and I thought Bisping would cruise in a striking match.

Leites isn't a guy you bet on to win by sub either. He has one sub win since 2012. Just because he has a black belt. Doesn't mean he subs everyone, he's mostly just striked for years now

Any fight where he's KO'd someone is better than just walking forward with no skill winging punches for 5 rounds. Forget Bisping KO'd Rockhold for a sec, it was close because Bisping was running.
