I don't follow. Ramos has 6 finishes inside 1st round you don't see here yellow light ?
Right, I understand that you're hesitant on playing the over 1.5 given the history of Carcacinha, and his numerous first round finishes, but that record is a bit deceiving and a terse glance will have you missing the forest for the trees. That is to say, for the most part, when he has stepped up to face above average competition he doesn't slice through them like a hot knife through butter. For instance, he himself was finished under 1.5 rounds in his penultimate fight on the regional circuit against The respectable Manny Vasquez. However, that's not to say that Carcacinha has been the stereotypical Brazilian can crusher. Indeed, he does have a few nice victories to his name against formidable regional talent. The best fighters Carcacinha has beaten are Fabio Lima, Alfred Khashakyan, Allan Nascimento and Rafael Correa yet he was only able to get one of them out of there inside the first frame which was Khashakyan, and he only hit that mark with 20 seconds to spare.
Meanwhile, Tanaka is about as durable a fighter as they come. This is a clash of Brazilian jujitsu versus judo with both man holding blacbelts in their respective disciplines. Specifically, Tanaka is a very high level judo player with near impenetrable takedown defense. Once more, even when he is taken to the mat, against top flight BJJ players— see Rani Yahya — he has been able to keep from being submitted. In fact, it has 14 by career, Tanaka has never been knocked out nor submitted and he has faced some very respectable competition. This includes BJJ black belts Yayha,, Roland Delorme, and Joe Soto.
Tanaka isn't a big threat with his knock out power but he does have very technical boxing and excellent TDD which I believe will give us a glorified kick boxing match as the grappling will neutralize itself. If this does go to the canvas I do think it will be Tanaka who chooses to take it there.
So take what you want with this information, I just believe that Tanaka is too durable to get steamrolled by the 21-year-old inside seven minutes and I also don't think that The Japanese fighter will get the finish that quick.
