UFC WMMA: The way to watch

Give me:

  • Whole Fight Nights of just WMMA. No WMMA on the other cards.

  • What we have now. A few WMMA fights on a card.

  • None. I don’t like WMMA.

If the same whiny crybabies would stop making the same, tired, hate threads, there’d be a lot for you to see on the front page. Better to block people when they start this kind of thread.

No im not against wmma, i just think its a lesser product than mens mma. i think women deserve to do whatever men do. I just dont want them hogging spaces on UFC cards, so they should have WUFC, i might even tune into 1 or 2 fights a year…

imagine they had amateur fights during ufc events, thats what it feels like.

Can u explain why u dont want a card full of wmma fighters? Isnt that opening up opportunities for all the female fighters to get recognition? It feels like so many of the amazingly talented female fighters get a tiny piece of the limelight that the men do. You must be a sexist pig that relegates womens fighting to only 2 out or 12 fights on a card.

We already have that. It's called Invicta, and I watch it. It's generally pretty good, sometimes it's great. If the UFC didn't poach all of their best fighters it would be even better.

I also watch LFA, CFFC, PFL, Cage Warriors, ARES FC, ONE FC and some other regional promotions. Sometimes I even watch Bellator. I love MMA in all its many and varied forms. The differences between divisions is one of the things that makes it the greatest sport in the world IMO.

The UFC is the place for the best fighters in every division. If there was a card featuring only fighters for one or two divisions I would watch it, but I prefer the variety of having all the divisions available in one place. If anything the UFC should beef up their WFW division and add AW.

I have explained this earlier in this very thread. If you want to daydream about a segregated UFC, go right ahead. It's never going to happen, so I suggest you either learn to appreciate female fighters, or at the very least stop whining.

It's kinda cool just to see the difference in speed, agility, technique etc. Sometimes a couple of talented gals make fools out of the two dudes who fought just before them. It gives us fight fans some perspective. I would be ok to have everything on a separate card too but I might end up missing the nice variety that a mixed card brings.

WMMA is different just like the different weight classes are different from each other. There are a lot of interesting grappling exchanges due to women’s flexibility. I could do with less light sparring matches on the feet but overall I think it is good to sprinkle in some WMMA

Weed break and food break during wmma as it should be. Got to time the weed break during the decision though, nobody wants to be high during a wmma fight
 
I believe the first option is the best compromise. WMMA cards would ensure women still can compete in the UFC, but fans can either tune in or out depending on whether or not they enjoy women's fights. The fans that enjoy it are still able to consume it and those that don't can opt out. Very similar to Invicta, but still under the UFC banner.

Explain how it is not. Compromise doesn't have to appeal to everyone's sensibility. It is hypothetical and will never occur, but it is indeed a compromise for both parties of WMMA viewers. WMMA will remain of the regular cards and some viewers will continue to complain. If they could opt out, they would have far less to complain about.
