Except that the guy you have been talking to, the guy who likes WMMA, started this thread, and designed the poll, also chose the first option.

Anyway, I'm done talking in circles with a guy who can't even successfully choose the poll option that most accurately describes his beliefs.

Seems pretty straightforward. Instead you pick an option that says WMMA should still be in the UFC, and then try to argue that literally everyone who chose that option is just as dishonest as you.

At the end of the day, keeping things the way they are has won the poll, and by a comfortable margin.

If you want to pretend otherwise, that is entirely up to you.

All I know anecdotally is that the Sherdog PBP is full of fans having a great time enjoying the women as much as the men. It’s right there in the PBP comments. Many hardcores and casuals are watching with interest. There is the odd member that tells everyone how they’re leaving because a WMMA fight is starting. They seem to be the vocal minority though. The odd man out, the party pooper, if you will. No judgement here. To each his own. It’s clear that people are watching lady fights more and enjoying them. The quality will continue to improve just as it does with the men.

As the roster grows and the talent rises, they likely will be able to hold robust all woman cards. Myself and others do enjoy the mixed cards too. I don’t think anyone’s getting in anyone’s way on a mixed card. There’s always time and space for good fighters.

Theres great fighters the UFC didnt sign or are unable to fit on an event because of some of the women. Just open WUFC and everyone can be happy. Nobody is taking anything away from anyone. Actually giving more shine to other women who arent getting event time because of the overwhelming mens talent/roster.

I didnt say they werent being honest. Im just saying i was. And many people agree with me. They dont want wmma scrapped completely, they’d be ok with wmma being its own thing. Nobody loses anything, i dont see the issue.

Well, yeah. On the events where theres 2-3 womens fights, those couldve gone to any other fighter. Thats a paycheck, thats a possible highlight reel ko that makes him viral. Thats possible openings for new emerging stars.

The quality would even be better if they had a WUFC where way more ladies can make a name for themselves. Not that 1-2 fights on an event stuff.

It IS possible to have anonymous polls. Might be interesting to run this poll again, without the crushing pressure of having to prove your masculinity on a karate forum.

Plus I could finally admit that I secretly hate WMMA and I just pretend to like it in the hopes that one of them will sleep with me!!

Maybe in a year or so, after the next WMMA fight that doesn't totally suck!!

I think most people would agree with you that any type of low level amateurish fight (men or women) are better off on early prelims.

Dude i can say that about 3/4 of the men fights on any given UFC card be it a Fight Night or PPV!

the majority of WMMA fights look amateurish. even the most recent championship fight was boring. it is too bad, but it is what it is. when they are put on the main card, the momentum and flow gets all fucked up. energy gone. i think WMMA should be confined to events like invicta. or if the UFC continues, consolidate them all into one weight class. it is just not interesting. just because it is MMA, doesn't mean we have to watch and support. it makes no sense when we want to watch the best compete and then they throw in the WNBA equivalent right in the main card.

It's not 15 years ago though.
Men with 15 years ago skills would get fucking murdered. But women with 15 years ago skills get slots on main cards.
The talent gap is enormous.
As I said earlier, I enjoy the highest levels of wmma. The Valentina, JJ, Weili, type fights, but the drop-off in talent is SO BAD.
But as I said above, I'd be glad to lose the sub par men too. The best MMA org in the world should feature elite level talent only and a legit half the roster belongs in the regional shows. The UFC is bloated and watered down as fuck. Hopefully they end w145 and either make some cuts or break out the checkbook to scoop up some of the solid talent fighting outside the UFC.

Ya I agree completely. I guess my point was, the best of WMMA today is easily above the skill level of UFC early days. When UFC was born, people stood up and paid attention. We couldn't get enough of it. It was about martial arts and fighting. No one turned their nose up at the "low skill level". I just find it odd that people criticize the female side of the sport as trash when they were clearly enjoying trash for years if they followed early pro MMA. I'm enjoying WMMA as it evolves and improves just like I did watching fighters of yesterday all the way to today.
