News UFC Signs 7-Year, $7.7 Billion Dollar Deal for All US Rights to UFC's Product - PPV Model is Done with Events on CBS. (Details Inside)

This is end of the sport as we know it, I felt like being a UFC fan was an exclusive club of well to do hardcore Martial Artist and wannabe’s who could throw $80 at a PPV completely on a whim.

UFC will now become a sports that any a$$clown can watch, I’m so out.

on a post strike until after I’m done mourning the loss , I’m completely melteded and shookering.

The Paramount Noob Era begins

You cheap cans who cried for years can now get access to UFC's PPVs for the starting price point of $7.99.
Even better, by the sounds of it. The numbered events are going to be on national CBS which you can pick up for free on your local antenna.

It's about time to be honest. I remember posting a few days ago that my $15 antenna gets me NFL, NCAA football, tennis Grand slam finals, world series, Olympics, my local MLB/NHL teams.

I've always said that if they priced it at $30 or less I'd happily pay, and I will. I've paid the around $20/event price tag on RIZIN events for years, and the price tags on events like KSW, which is around $15. I'm happy to pay a subscription fee to Paramount if it gets me fights.

Does it matter if P+ is popular? I don't understand this gripe. What about it is bad for the UFC? They just got $1.1 billion a year. MLB only gets $1.5.

Big events will be on CBS. P+ is cheaper than ESPN+. It's $7.99. There's no more $80 PPVs. I think at this point, you guys just like to cry about things, lol.
100% true that people just want something to fuckin bitch about.
Best news about the product we've received in years.
P+ is a halfway decent streaming service I already have running monthly, now I've got all the events there in 4k? No more PPVs?

I REPEAT: For the first time in my lifetime, the PPV model is DEAD and thats a good thing.

Another thing that will most likely happen that won't get talked about is the events will start earlier too to maximize advertising dollars.

If they truly are planning on putting the numbered events on national CBS, then they'll they'll do what they did when they had the national Fox cards and instead of starting them at 9:00 Central, they'll start them at 6:00 or 7:00.

Don't get us wrong, we're happy about the death of PPV.

It's just that this is like the worst streaming service of all time.

I've had no issues with it for football. I've had more issues with ESPN+ over the years, but to be fair, I use it a lot more.

You're a real one, Bob. Few and far between.

It's amazing for the growth of the sport imo. Imagine how many people would have watched Conor Vs Khabib if it was free on national TV

Quarterly mega cards?
Im interested in what this means for their usual stacking of Abu Dhabi cards compared to others. We'll probably have an overall better balance of events compared to the ESPN era.

Give a shit about Conor or Jon, neither of those druggie degenerates are ever fighting again.

Well, can’t complain about this from a fan standpoint. I’ll be able to watch everything now.

But it will likely lead to a more “UFC on Ice” feel than it already does with even less emphasis on promoting “stars” and individual fights/rivalries because they aren’t really selling anything anymore. Probably means the fighters have even less bargaining power than they already do as well.

Seems too good to be true for American viewers.

I’ll say they up the sub price within a month and give you a 95:5 ratio of adverts to fights.

They still have to sell subscriptions to paramount if they want to keep a deal this big next time it expires.
