News UFC Signs 7-Year, $7.7 Billion Dollar Deal for All US Rights to UFC's Product - PPV Model is Done with Events on CBS. (Details Inside)

You cheap cans who cried for years can now get access to UFC's PPVs for the starting price point of $7.99.

If any of you cans have complaints about this, you're basically a woman, lol.

They're even putting events on CBS. What a time to be alive!
I’ll continue to pirate them, thanks. Most cards do not offer 7.99$ of entertainment.

this is big news but I have a feeling the 'big' events wont be as mouthwatering as current/past ppv events as there is no need to entice ppl to buy it.

Big singular fights will be stretched out more.

Another positive given this model, is the bigger stars don't have to work around the ppv type schedule.

As a MMA fan, this might be the single best news that's happened to this sport as a consumer since the UFC was able to put on cards more than once every few months during the dark ages and had to pay to get half numbered events on SpikeTV. I could not be happier. Legitimately brought a smile to my face reading this news as is.

But, people are still crying. This place is hilarious.

Suredawg gonna Suredawg.

What was funny about my post. I said it was a positive as big fights can be stretched out more and not reliant on a fixed ppv schedule sandwiched with other big fights. ?

Just funny you initially focused on the negative. We don't know how cards are going to be constructed going forward, but as is, the news is a big win.

Your right I should have adopted my employees work performance experience

Sandwich the negative between two positives.

We can review at the end of 2027 how it plays out but yes it is exciting

You're*

Sorry. Had to, lol.

Lmao at CBS. From M*A*S*H to paying 7 billion for the Contender Series.

{<jordan}

I can't believe people still watch this shit.

Congrats america!
However I'm Aussie so I assume we're stll getting screwed for the foreseeable future.

Does give me hope they'll strike a similar deal here soon.
In the meantime if you aren't paying 80 I ain't paying 60.
I'll use my "other" means.

This is a UFC thread, but did WWE still had PPV in the US? I was under the impression they ditched that model years ago, and now everything is on Netflix, at least since im in Mexico i belive everything WWE is on it, what was on PPV?

Let me guess, like the Reebok/Venum deal it's going to be worse for the fighters.

They won't even get PPV points anymore.
Now when they fight in California you will know the actual purse, only they know the actual pay changes.
