UFC releases Yushin Okami

Im going to make two points as politely and concisely as possible.

:eek: 1 : If you decide to cut top 10 fighters, because they dont fight how you want them to fight, then you are taking sportsmen and telling them how to perform for the viewers at home.

:eek: 2 : If you remove spoilers to new hyped up talent getting title shots, then you are removing top 10 guys, and allowing stomp matches to emerge in their place.

Just because Okami can beat someone, doesn't mean they should never get a title shot. It's not like they HAVE to have a up and comer fight Okami. They can just schedule around him. Weidman hasn't beat Okami, so I guess Weidman must be a "stomp" fighter?

Boring fighters who make a lot of money but bring little to no fanbase will not have jobs with the UFC. It's that simple. It doesn't change the sport at all, especially with guys like Fitch and Okami who have had chances and failed.
 
Yeah, not really though...That's a Main Event fight for the Troops. Can't have Kennedy vs Okami, that's just mean.

Great news for Kennedy instead of getting his ass kicked he gets to fight a nobody, improve his win streak and maybe with an impressive performance break the top 10.

Did i mention, you are also scaring the other 9 fighters into performing how you want them to perform so they pacify the viewers at home.

It was meant to be about finding the best fighters, not making the prettiest fights.

Edit - Weidman beat Munoz bro. Its the same difference. By removing one of the top 10, you open up that avenue. People arent stupid. Its not hard to understand. Remove 2 or 3 of those gatekeepers and its a wide open hype v champ fest.

wow that's BS. okami may not be the most exciting figher, but he only has one loss in his last 4.
 
Why did they cut him? He must of cost to much money.
 
Maybe Yushin can get a UFC deal via being injury late replacement.
