finally watched the taira fight. Park did great defensively in round 1. Lots of solid technical defense. But Taira was just a step ahead in round 2. The adaptations were picture perfect.

Damn.

Solid event. Some good bangers. Some good finishes. Not too many snoozers. Pretty cool.

Taira is a dangerous dude. i think he will be challenging for the title before long

Fun night of fights, despite what some grumpy casuals might say.

See you all next weekend, Sherbros
I literally chose to carry a large bag of rocks for several miles instead of watch this card. Maybe I'll catch the next one that isn't a DWCS level card. They need to find a way to promote these fighters better, good regional records and gambling odds just doesn't do it for me. Too much like journeyman boxing promotions. I could care less about the gambling aspect of sports and it's pretty sad how much it has infiltrated so much of our current entertainment.

Спасибо!

I understand what you say, but you don't see his counter set ups? I agree he could jab and feint Abit more to create openings and set ups, but if you watch him fight, he relies on big power counter shots which he is really good at timing for the most part. His left hook to the body + Over hand right gets rather predictable also.

That last line was a bit harsh sorry

Yeh, I saw his counters. They were good. I had no issue with those. They were the main shots he was landing. he had good timing on them.

I was talking more about setup feints and everything else in his offensive striking. He was just throwing 1s and 2s over and over with nothing before or after them. No feints or pump jabs or anything really to close the distance first or open Silva up.

He's just not tat good in that area just yet. Not awful or anything, but it's just not there yet. And for someone who is kinda short, it's something he'll need to address before he fights better strikers. He's not going to be able to simply throw the same shots over and over with no setup from out of range like that when he doesn't have the reach. It really wasn't working well in this fight, where Silva was just defending most of those shots. I expect him to improve on all this.

All good about that last line haha. Don't worry about it.

Great post and I agree with it all. Hopefully he can add more to his offensive game, more feints and a sticky jab like Volk would do him well.

Thanks again for the quality debate, you're a real one 👊
