I think these bits are as close as it will ever get though. Some things they don't want you to hear

To me its makes no difference. I don't know if my brain is different than everyone else that complains about commentary, but when I watch something my analysis + thoughts stay constant while the commentators are just like someone with a different opinion in the room. So to me going without commentary doesn't change my perception. I'll internally reject/approve what commentators say depending on my own thoughts. I guess some people just shape their opinions from what they hear.

it depends. are you all knowing? or at least more knowledgable than the commentators? most of the time they are just promoting and hyping or repeating what you are already seeing yourself.....but sometimes they give decent info that you could never know. i agree with you that alot of people get too influenced by the commentators but you are acting that you are not influenced 1 bit by the commentary,

if that's the casem than you are missing too much. they get to see shit from angles that you dont and know shit before you and even communicate that, let alone knowledge of the game. the trick is to see past stupid takes by a commentator or when they are trying to sell wolf tickets and listen to the valuable info they sometimes do give

I remember Fight Pass used to have options for the audio track when watching old fights. You can have the commentary, no commentary, and blue or red corner audio. I think it was for only a few big fights, but man it was awesome.

I don't know why they got rid of it.

Normally I would be disgusted with someone for spitting at another man but ill give Khabib a pass on this one, Conor deserved it for all the shit talking.

It was still classless. There's a reason Khabib said his father would be livid with him once he got home.

Pretty disgraceful for Herb to not even deduct a single point considering how much Conor cheated. He gave him like 4 warnings but didn't deduct a point even once.

It's not just Herb Dean, all UFC refs are lax about penalizing fouls. Fighters pretty much know they can get away with at least 1 foul.

I get that some things like eye pokes and grabbing the fence are inadvertent, but throwing knees from the bottom is obvious cheating.

At least the video shows Herb was aware of the fouls and was repeatedly warning Conor. Watching it with the commentary, it looked like he didn't notice or care. It's still disgraceful that points were never deducted.

I can only speak for myself here as I don't know what's in anyone else's mind.
The commentary team doesn't influence me, it pisses me off lol.

They talk about nonsense, and it feels like they have 3 color commentators.
Luckily for me I can tune them out, but occasionally they are heard.
