of course, in the UFC it is different, no roids like in pride (living examples: jones and anderson), objective judges (oh yea, no wrong decisions at all), best referees, political correctness with WMMA and midgets, cmon, UFC is creme de la creme

Don't mind the PRIDE haters, they're just pissed that they were not following MMA when it was on... but on the other hand, we, PRIDE vets, should go easier on newer fans who discovered the UFC thanks to Ronda, Brock or McGregor.
Poor fuckers are just from a different generation, and a good chunk of what they read on Sherdog is PRIDE wanking. About how crazy that time period was for MMA enthusiasts, and how the sport sucks now compared to then.

I would get a bit peeved too after a while, and would start making up random shit like "almost all the fights were fixed", "they gave the fighters steroids themselves if they couldn't afford it", "the UFC was actually always better", "Fedor was a can, I mean who did he beat?", etc etc etc

The UFC had as many fixed fights as PRIDE did (mainly a few meaningless Takada wins), and steroids were rampant in both orgs.
PRIDE was amazing, it's what hooked me to this sport for now almost 2 decades... but we don't need to remind everyone constantly.

If you mean Hong Man Choi (he's the only asian he fought that could be considered a freakshow), that wasn't a PRIDE event, that was "Yarennoka!"

As for the fixed fights, the UFC also has its share of strange fights... Oleg Taktarow vs Anthony "Mad Dog" Macias, Don Frye vs Mark Hall 2, etc...
Both orgs had the same problems, it was just MMA in general that was different back then.

CM Punk was a freakshow, Kimbo Slice was freakshow as well. UFC did that shit as well, but not multiple times on every card. Freakshows were one of the reasons Pride died, same with K-1. You could have 10 beautiful, technical kickboxing showdowns on an event, but at the end of the day people will remember Bob Sapp vs. Akebono or Sapp vs. Choi Hong Man.
